GT, I'm not much on whittlers (which is odd as I like stockmans a lot!) but that's a nice one! I'd sport that!
Yes sir. We are figuring him out. He eats. A lot. Mom can make enough so now that we know to supplement a bit, he seems to be doing better. Thank you!
That would be one wacky tan line!

I realllllllly like that whittler!
I went with a whittler today too.
inspired by GuestWho's beautiful 79's posted as of late.
Thanks for the kind remarks about the whittler I posted back before everything changed!
Joey, I'm glad you all are helping to make the new kid on the block feel welcome.

FBC, your whittler is much more heavy-duty than mine - nice!
Paul Hilborn, thanks for your whittler comment, too; somehow it didn't get included as I intended. (I'm afraid it's going to take me a while to get used to the way the new website works.

)
Today again I carry my "Portuguesa", a different and basic knife, but I like it very much and easy to handle, in whole stag horn!!!
Pt-Luso, it's good to see this knife again! What does the "art" on the blade represent?
I'm overjoyed and very lucky to be able to carry this fine Winchester Teardrop/Candle-End from 1987. All due to the kindness and altruism of Merry Mad Monk who sent it to me all the way from the USA as a present. Thank you Al it cheered me up during a tough stretch and makes Easter all the better.
Regards, Will
Today I have been Totin this new to me Winchester Stockman.
Will and Ron, congrats on those superb black box Winchesters that have come into your hands! Classic stockman, Ron! Will, that's a generous gift from MMM! Is that model #2857? I also received that as a gift (thanks, Paul), and have seen it referred to as a teardrop jack, bullet jack, and dogleg jack; now you've added "candle-end" to my lexicon! Do you know where that name comes from? Here's a photo of mine:
Thank you, Gary! Yes, the magnifier on yours is the older one (and some folks say it's better than the current one).
...
Great minds and great knives, Ron!

...
I'm carrying the Chestnut 15 again with a different alox Vic than pictured today.
Thanks for the Vic magnifier info, Dean. With regard to "great minds", I think the same day you and Ron carried ebony TCs, you and I carried red Cadets!

Nice couple of knives you have in this photo from whenever it was!
Nice!
I acctually just got my hands on my birthyear stamped alox Soldier (85) in mint condition, its a safequeen for now

Got help from a fellow alox collector in the US to secure the deal and ship it out to Sweden. Pictured below with my 85 stamped Vic Dutch Army Knife.
VERY Nice! Do you think it would be hard to find them with a "51"?
For Easter Sunday service I pulled out Old Reliable.
That's a phenomenal "church knife", Jeff!
Picked up a SAK for scoring bread.
Worked pretty well.
Cool knife, warm bread - MMMM!
Here are a couple of knives I carried this week (actually last week, I suppose) that I hadn't displayed before BF went on a brief hiatus.
In my watch pocket were the scrimshaw Rough Rider small stockman (thanks, r8shell) and a Robt. Klaas small canoe:
In my "bus pass pouch" was a Case chestnut bone CV SBJ (thanks, Paul):
