What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Always nice to see that Joker GT

Thanks, Jack. :)

After all the excitement in Todd Davison's fabulous giveaway thread yesterday, I thought I'd carry my Davison Sheepsfoot :) Congratulations, once again, to Aias for winning, and thanks to Todd, and everyone else who made it fun

Pairing my Davison with the Speaker Jack Mr Alan Shearer very kindly gifted me recently :)

Your brace of black beauties is exquisite! Although I'm a big fan of the photo of your Davison with the sheep in the background, this "fungal foto" of the knife is also impressive! Congrats on the new Speaker Jack, Jack, and kudos to Alan for his generous gift!

Thanks so much Jack. Yeah, that was a wild ride yesterday... still hard to believe I had the lucky post! I was just having so much fun counting/ posting, I was totally taken by surprise when it all came to a halt. My wife thought I was a little crazy... then she heard the incredulous "I won??!!... I WON!!!" And we both looked at each other in astonishment. It was a good morning.

I had such a great time with the posts, the pics, and the humor... and oh, the generosity! This is the best place to hangout on Bladeforums... no doubt!

BTW, today is 26 years of being together for my wife and I; we've been married for nearly 12. Another good morning! I'll take this to be a lucky streak!
I apparently totally missed an event that will live forever in the communal memory of The Porch!:( A thread amassed over 900 posts in about 45 hours??? That's 20 posts per hour on average! Sorry to have missed all the fun and the memory creation.
Aias, congrats on your winning the unforgettable GAW, and congrats to you and your wife on your special day, too!!:D:thumbsup:

Considering the "How old are the folks on the porch" thread. It gets harder every year to carry a knife older than I. :p

That's a venerable piece of cutlery, Rachel!
I commented on your provocative mathematics in the "age poll" thread. ;)

This guy is going to be with me for a while.

The coloring on that Forum knife is remarkable, Travman! I can see why you'd want to keep that butterscotchy stag beauty close at hand! ;)

Today it's my custom Ray Cover drop point in ATS34 with snake wood covers and stainless hardware

You must be happy to have that fantastic bone stag sowbelly with the distinctive shield, Steve!

This one again today.

Totally alluring ancient Barlow, Dean!
I*NV UR I*XL ! :D (I should text more; I think i have a knack 4 it.)
Is the background a field of tansy??

At the moment the handle is just a real tight press fit and not permanently affixed in place until I get it exactly where I want it ( those are just small tacks that originally held the ferrule on ) so I was able to add a guard to it.
Currently I like it even more this way.
Cool mod(s), H&S!
Even cooler to see how much fun you're having doing it! :D:thumbsup:

Here are pics of some other knives I've been carrying this week.
In my watch pocket, I've had, as always, a white bone scrimshawed Rough Rider small stockman (thanks, r8shell), along with a cracked ice (aka MOTS) Imperial mini canoe:

This Holub electrician has been hanging in my RFP all week with my keys (thanks, Dave):

Thanks so much GT--it's been a special couple days. And yes, the GAW thread was an electric frenzy that stated slow enough, but just took off as the post #s climbed.

Cool carries, btw... especially that Holub electrician! Lots of character on those blades.

I agree, Ron.
Beautiful crimson cherry you got there.

I do love dem Cranberries Ron;), the #38 is a hands down favorite of mine. Mine is lacking the much needed patina like yours:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: Your CASE is a beauty:cool:

GW101 & Paul, thank you both of the compliments on my ole Red Bone!:)

Beautiful knife! Is that a single blade?

ecallahan, Thank you for the compliment. This knife is a two blade with a single spring. It is a CASE 06247 Pen. It is without a doubt one of my favorite CASE patterns. :)

Travman, that is my favorite forum knife to date. Yours is without a doubt one of the most beautiful I have seen!!!:thumbsup:

Today I chose my new #13 Speaker Jack to slip into my pocket. I had a Family Day at work today. We were celebrating 5 years in our new plant. Pam and I helped serve hot dogs for an hour. We were expecting 2600 people, that is a lot of hot dogs. This afternoon we went to the local Relay For Life and works 4 hours at the booths that Pam's company had set up. It's been a full day for this old man!:D I hope everyone has had a good day!

Gary, I always admire your gift from Rachel. I'm recording the series Genius of late. A great series:cool::thumbsup:

Harry, a great pair, I can see why it's been a regular carry:thumbsup:

Just enjoyed a great cigar after a full day of yard work. The Lick Creek saw major use today, opened half a dozen cypress mulch bags for starters and even sliced my left hand index finger in the process:thumbsup:

A good clean cut and didn't even realize until it became a bit of a messo_O
