What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Have a great day!

Gary. You have to stop. Really, I can't stand anymore:rolleyes:. Lloyd, let's google that.......

After a week of carrying the Sierra Club scout, I have the Camillus C4 back in my pocket today. The two knives were theoretically almost identical, and the Sierra Club should have been an upgrade. But I missed the C4 every single day.

I think it was the subtle cues. The ring and familiar snap of the main blade. The texture and temperature of the Delrin in my hand. The perfect blend of stiffness, with a small amount of give to the rotation of the bail.

It feels so good to use this one single absolutely wonderful knife. I spent extra time on this picture, trying to communicate how strongly it's become a part of me.

Nice! Find me a Case! I'll buy it!

Thanks guys, I'm just having coffee and a sausage sandwich in a bar in Leeds! :D

Sharp Trio.
Thanks, Dee. :) (Not all as sharp as I'd like, and I need to sharpen my sharpening skills.)

Thanks GT, your Winchester is crying out to be used! :D

Nice-looking Soldier GT

Prompted by PMEW, I'm carrying this TEW today :)

Thanks, Jack. When you're right, you're right! ;)
That 2-blade TEW lambsfoot is very likable!

Today's carry
Nice photo of a distinctive knife, Marty!

Thanks, GT! I like that Buck Canoe!
Thanks, GE Jr; I feel fortunate to have found that Buck stag canoe.

GEC #15 Scout was with me today

Andi, GEC has produced many variations of the 15 model, but yours is maybe my favorite of all of them!
That 2-blade, sheepsfoot, EO Scout with appealing color/jigging is unforgettable!

Hey Gary, While I was searching the web for that old Prine duet lp, I noticed he has another duet lp that came out more recently. I may have to pick that one up too. Your description of the Winchester cracked me up. I was trying to figure how to label mine.

The 15 was in service yesterday.

After drooling over Andi's knife, I have to confess that yours is also top-shelf. Love the spearpoint blade and the clean, simple elegance of ebony/endcap (I always appreciate a secondary blade though ).
I noticed the two Prine duet albums (and my image of how the man looks was frozen in a early 70s album photo, so I was momentarily shocked to see a fairly current photo - I suppose I've aged just as much :D:D).
That Winchester seems to be described differently each time I see it!
By the way, the Winchester whittler you posted is killer!

Thanks, Gary. Wow, 12 different ones - a good choice.

My friends and I went on a rather long hike in the rain today. I brought these two knives along.

My new Vic Cadet was excited after we got out of the car.

The Farmer's Jack looked for some cover from the rain.

Cool pics and captions for your Cadet and Farmer's Jack, Dean!
That set of 12 different Rough Riders (shipped to my door for under $85) turned me into a committed RR fan. At the time, they were the most impressive pocket knives I'd ever handled and I was stunned by the quality and variety of patterns.

These two for me today :) Have a good Friday everyone, the weekend is nearly here :)

Looks like a fine pair to help you transition to the weekend, Jack!
Does your distinctive buffalo horn look very different depending on the lighting, or are you using some kind of "filter magic" to chameleonize the knife?? ;)

Watch pocket knife this week is a "prehistoric beer scout" from Colonial (thanks, Dave):

My Peanut-like Knife of the Week is a stretch, as far as being peanut-like, but that classification lets me carry it a little more often ;). Cocobolo Simmons Keen Kutter (thanks, Mark):

Cheers my friend, yes, the lighting changes it quite a lot, as do my simple camera and poor photography technique. That photo is filtered, but the colour of the horn in the image is much the same as how it looks. Here's the photo again, compared to an unfiltered photo of the same knife (with my smaller A.Wright horn Lambsfoot)

Yesterday was May the Fourth, today is Revenge of the Fifth.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

.

Fantastic Jack! Love that old advert background . Have a great weekend friend.

Thanks a lot Alan, the same to you pal :)
