That's a classy knife, GE Jr! I think that will be the next chestnut bone pattern I get.

Canoe of the Week is a stag Buck (one of my favorite knives):

Thanks, GT! I like that Buck Canoe!

I know what you mean about puddles and piles, FBC! :D
I'm not familiar with the Prine duet album,so thanks for the referral; I'm gonna check that out sometime! (About the time I became a dad almost 29 years ago, my musical interests kind of got lost in the shuffle.)

Hey! I'm carrying that same model this week (see below). Fantastic knife!

My Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Black Box Winchester dogleg/teardrop/bullet/candle-tip jack like flatblackcapo's above (thanks, Paul):

Hey Gary, While I was searching the web for that old Prine duet lp, I noticed he has another duet lp that came out more recently. I may have to pick that one up too. Your description of the Winchester cracked me up. I was trying to figure how to label mine.

The 15 was in service yesterday.

I'm enjoying your recent Alox show, Dean. In that 2-knife combo, the TC could refer to Tangerine Cadet. ;)
My Rough Rider trapper is 4 1/8 inches closed; that seems to be a standard length for full-sized trappers. I do have quite a few RRs in amber jigged bone. Almost exactly 3 years ago, when I first got involved in this "knife thing", I ordered a "set" of RRs, 12 different patterns in matching covers.

Thanks, Gary. Wow, 12 different ones - a good choice.

Thanks Dean, great choices there my friend

Thanks, Jack.

My friends and I went on a rather long hike in the rain today. I brought these two knives along.

My new Vic Cadet was excited after we got out of the car.

The Farmer's Jack looked for some cover from the rain.

After a week of carrying the Sierra Club scout, I have the Camillus C4 back in my pocket today. The two knives were theoretically almost identical, and the Sierra Club should have been an upgrade. But I missed the C4 every single day.

I think it was the subtle cues. The ring and familiar snap of the main blade. The texture and temperature of the Delrin in my hand. The perfect blend of stiffness, with a small amount of give to the rotation of the bail.

It feels so good to use this one single absolutely wonderful knife. I spent extra time on this picture, trying to communicate how strongly it's become a part of me.
