Been carrying this everyday for the last couple weeks since I finished it. Main reason being that the edge has held up better than any other knife I own!!! I managed to slightly dull it last night doing some abusive things with it under the dash of my car and I stropped it quick this morning fully understanding that it would need a quick go thru with the Lansky later to full clear it up. Much to my surprise, the strop took out 90% of issue and tho I can see two very very small areas that the edge isnt keen, it still sharp as can be and will get me thru the day! Love it. The texture of the scales is great and Ive found myself handling it often like you would a worry stone.

Prego!Grazie mille, Alan!
JMy 77 got a little jealous of the Davison--it got a little time in the sun:

Excellent Rachel! Just wonderful shot and carry today.
Gurdygurds, your pic evoked rampant nostalgia in this old man!Recently acquired this Buck 309 made in 2003. It's been doing battle with a few 305s but it won out today.

Another iconic knife, Ron!...
Well since today was Wednesday, and since I have neglected it for sometime now, I decided to carry my #79 Ebony Workhorse.

Dean, I think my MAM sheepsfoot, whose pic I posted yesterday, may be the victim of any scratting experiment I try. That ebony spearpoint TC is tremendously charismatic!
Very nice, Alan! So, this is on purpose patina, as opposed to the not on purpose patina I was whining about last week. We had a little party and I had to cut up some lemons and limes. The freshly cleaned 48 came out. Here's the result and this is my first patina that I purposely knew was going to happen and I like the start of it. Of course I plan to just continue with this one.

Thanks, Dee....

That's an EPIC TC.
I know, I know, but I couldn't help myself.
How often does an opportunity like this present itself?

Thanks for the Pioneer info. I'm not sure what my favorite Alox model is. There are so many cool models, but I suppose many, if not all, could be considered variations of the Pioneer (or Soldier). I certainly like the Farmer, but I'd never give up my Electrician! Thanks GT! Pioneer, my second favorite model, farmer is my first "love". Outstanding Imperial, great pic too (insert thumb up here, can't figure out how to do that on my phone).

I agree that's a special knife, Paul!A special knife for me today, bought it from my friend Bob...GO PATRIOTS

davek14 rescued that little Imperial from a junk box at a knife shop he frequented, restored it to useable form, and generously sent it to me.... As for your carry this week--there is something very intriguing about that all steel Imperial... what's the story there?
Bill, you've got some impressive pocket contents there, sir!
Really like the jigging on that one, Matt, and the mirror-polished edge is also noteworthy!Been carrying this everyday for the last couple weeks since I finished it. Main reason being that the edge has held up better than any other knife I own!!! I managed to slightly dull it last night doing some abusive things with it under the dash of my car and I stropped it quick this morning fully understanding that it would need a quick go thru with the Lansky later to full clear it up. Speaking of jigging, I'm just floored by the jigging on your Beaver Tail, Buzz!!!I'm totally rocking the Beaver Tail today.

Swapped the 14TC out of the pocket for today to make room for this Michael Morris Friction Folder that I just received. Thanks, mbp!
Very nice, Alan! With its long, lean profile and the lemon/lime patina spots, that knife reminds me of a leopard!
Let's see, I've got a little Rough Rider lockback cannitler i my watch pocket this week:

Sorry. I lost my head for a minute! That is GEC. Wow. I can't answer that?I agree, but is GEC now doing it to?
So simple and so right, Ron. I should get me one of those at some point.Paul, that truly is a special one indeed!
Alan, I can't answer your question! If you get tired of trying to figure it you can send that beautiful thing to Tennessee and let me worry about it for awhile!!
Thanks Gary!!
A hard day at work with my Buck 301!
