What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Half/Stop Half/Stop
Sorry Ron, you had your chance, it came from Jacksboro. If it wasn't for the southern gentlemen on this forum I'd have far fewer knives.

Alan, those Campbell County gentlemen know a fine knife when they see one!

So simple and so right, Ron. I should get me one of those at some point.
Alan - You should try one! I like the older models that were made by Camillus. But the new ones are a lot of knife for the price they charge! :)

Blimey! It's less than 24 hours since I posted! What is going on with this thread lately?! ;)
...
I've had these two with me today :)

"Heavy traffic" for sure, Jack! I felt obligated to split my comments into two parts because there are so many notable knives here!
I admire your "something old, something new" pairing, Jack!

Sway Back Jack! Sway Back Jack! Sway Back Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

Nice! I have one of Michael's fixed blades (a large Watchman) made from my father-in-law's old Nicholson file--the knife will be my son's as something that was passed down from his grandfather. ...
That's an ingenious idea, Anthony! What an admirable plan!

I had this one with me on the very muddy trail today. Thank, GT!

You're welcome, Dean. That's a great-looking, verdant Farmer!

Nice knives folks!

Gary, I'm impressed by how consistently you've been carrying that fabulous shadow stag pattern lately!
The handle on your fixed blade is unforgettable!:thumbsup: (And kind of scary/creepy/disturbing!;) I showed your photo to my wife, and her first reaction to the fixed blade handle was, "Oooh, pretty!" Then she said, "Is that a demon? That's kind of like Munch's "The Scream"!)

...
I'm still in a black & white, piano key kind of mood.

Nothing wrong with that, r8shell; if it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice! ;)

For those in the know, please satisfy my curiosity and tell me why this is Antique Jigged GREEN Bone?

Because it makes some of us GREEN with envy?? :D

Nice RR Gary! And thanks for your allusion to my patina spots. I had not thought about that?
You're welcome, Alan. I apparently often think things that probably shouldn't be thought.

Splendid Bull Nose! (For once, I'm not tempted by your fresh-baked bread, since I just finished my supper. ;))

Old school, high class, Ron!

Here's what passes for my Big Knife of the Week. It is 4" long closed, but it's so svelte and slender that it doesn't carry big at all! A smooth gray bone Taylor-Schrade-Walden muskrat from r redden! Get healthy ASAP, Randy! :)

Good one Gary. Just when I thought I knew what I liked, I buy a user for one reason and it turns out to be a spectacular all around carry.

They put the wrong knife in the tube?:p

Ken & Atiger, the bone scales on your Case Barlows are great. My two are not that nice but I still like them a lot.

Halfstop that 301 has a very unique combination of modernity and tradition that to my eye is just great.

GT all of your RRs have all but convinced me to check them out myself.

Wow Gary, some of the nicest handles I've laid eye's on in some time:cool::thumbsup: is it just me or is there a pug dog staring back at me in the middle of the handle:)o_O:D

I was thinking zombie, but I've been binge watching Walking Dead.

It's some pretty wild California Buckeye burl. There's a number of creepy lookin' faces in there! I guess one could be a pug dog, Paul. Maybe a zombie or two LR. Might be a pug zombie.

Spectacular gents

Thanks Jack! Beautiful combo today sir

Thanks Tom :)

Thank you my friend, you are very generous :) That's an interesting Muskrat

Like GT, I thought I'd carry a knife our friend Randy Redden sent me today :) Hoping he's home for the weekend

Also carrying a Lambsfoot
