What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@flatblackcapo
Just replying to your post from Tuesday which multiquote won't let me post. Great Ritchey tool; a blast from the past! Took me a bit to track mine down but I eventually found the little brother of your model.

Another new one today. Wright's Lambsfoot in oxhorn.

And that's a stunning lambsfoot. I've just ordered an A.Wright & Sons stag Ettrick but I'm wondering whether I should of ordered one with horn scales instead as between this one and Jack Black's lambsfoot I've seen some stunning examples of horn scales from them recently.

Ahh, I'm drooling over the keyboard again this morning (my wife thinks I'm a looney LOL). Alan AShearer AShearer and FBC @flatblackcapo, I especially like your offerings, and what a different and unique trio Ted @T. Erdelyi. I am hoping that Mr. Cover makes it to our Badgerland show next year.

Heading out with my buffalo horn jack again today.

Thank you sir! That's a nice looking horn jack. I've come to appreciate horn recently. It's an interesting cover.

That's some great-looking ebony Ron

That is one awesome Sheepsfoot, Jack.
Hugo says thanks.

Nice Ablett Barlow Donn

Wright's really seem to be on top of their game with their horn at the moment. Used to be it was just in black, but they have some nice reddish stuff lately, as well as the golden oxhorn and their 'special buffalo', which has a lot of character. I think the last two are still 'special order' though

Nice-looking Penknife Tom

Thanks GT, it's a knife I love to carry, I'm not sure what the wood is, but it's some of the nicest I have :)
...
LOL! :D I don't know the terminology either my friend, but yeah, you got it :)
...
Thanks again GT, great choices today, nice pic of your Muskrat, and I love those Marbles ruler knives, I've bought several, and they're great value
Thanks, Jack; I appreciate your taking the time to respond to me and so many others!:thumbsup:

Yowza, Tom, your pics of that ebony BSK always make me kind of yearnful!!:thumbsup:

That's a good looking Trapper! Wonderful stag.
Mine for the day. I don't carry the Norfolk enough. One of Case's best in my opinion.

XLNT pair, Gary!:thumbsup: Each of those knives would make even a xenophobe friendly! ;)

Found an old Southington recently so it gets an "honorary" carry today.
Wowser! Atiger, the well-groomed wonderful old Barlows you keep finding make me weak in the knees! ;)

I'm sporting this awesome Camillus C4 for "Windowsill Wednesday".

U Da Man, Alan!! Your Davison is unmatched in wonderfulness!:thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary. That was my first TC of many and a favorite. From what I have read, the BladeForums Barlow will be a "first TC" for many others!:thumbsup:

Your Colt muskrat rings all the bells - great stag, great pattern and well executed; another RR success story!
Thanks a ton for the tasteful, thoughtful tidings, Dean. The Colt muskrat IS tremendously thrilling to me! :D

Sufferin' Succotash, Dee!! My first thought was, "That's a couple of snazzy snakewoods there!" But then I did a stupendous double-take and realized the one on the slip is a splendiferous snakewood Vic Minichamp, is that right??:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm off to my local flea-market early in the morning, but got these two in my pockets ready, A.Wright and Croisdale :)

Rah! Rah! Sis Boom Bah! Those two refined knives should readily repel any raids/resistance from rebellious fleas at your market, Jack! :p:thumbsup:

With all the Barlow fever going around. I've been carrying this peach seed for the past week. I think I'll carry my primitive tomorrow.View attachment 726003
Quality quotidian carry, Curtis!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Those spey Day's Work Barlows are IMHO quintessential single-blade barlow examples. Outstanding photo, too!!

It definitely does Gary! :) These two in Ebony bring me twice the joy! :D

Oh my goodness!! As I might have said over 40 years ago, that old-fashioned oxhorn lambsfoot is outta sight; congrats, FBC!!:thumbsup::cool: Thanks for appreciating my stag muskrat. :)

Neato!! Travman, that's a noteworthy, noble knife!:thumbsup:

In my right front pocket, including watch pocket, this week I have 3 knives.
Representing my bailed non-SAKs this week is an electrician knife from Böker USA (thanks, Mark):

That is a stunning bit of horn. Love it! Are both sides similar?

I am somewhat partial to brass in general and though I know it isn't for everybody, I do wish more knives used it for more than just liners. That long brass bolster is excellent.

Always love seeing those Ancient Barlows, they have the coolest character.

Still carrying this one every day. Been experimenting with sharpening and keeping the edge happy and it seems a toothier/courser edge is the way to go so far!

Matt

Absolutely love that Camillus. Just a great simple design with some character-laden covers. Very nice!

I am carrying this beauty today, though I am still somewhat loath to use it. It will happen... And then the worrying will end. Working at a desk tends to make cutting tasks somewhat few and far between though.

Do they make a traditional salt water knife. :D Good thing Im in and out of a pool today. I personal cant swim in the oceans lol. Maybe if I had a salt water H1 steel stockman :p

Here's a Joseph Rodgers Life-raft knife. Have to say, it doesn't have much of an edge

Have a great day my friend, I've been in and out of the water myself today - the kind that falls from the sky! :D
