Nice! I love the older Soldiers, especially with the hollow rivet. I've got a couple old Wenger Soldats, oldest is an 89.
Nice piece!

What a beauty!Carrying this new to me knife today. This knife represents a lot of "firsts" for me:
It will likely become one of my favorite knives to carry, I am so impressed with it. It also most certainly will make me give older Case knives a closer look in the future.
- First and foremost, it is my very first Case knife (More of my thoughts regarding that here: Let's see your Case knives, old to new.)
- It is my first Wood covered traditional folder (Walnut, I think?)
- It is also my first single blade (bareheaded?) Jack

Thanks for noting my Joker, and that's a wonderful pair of knives you display, but I sure hope you had a more efficient tool for taking down a couple of trees!!I like the little saw on some SAK models, and it's really an eager beaver when it comes to gnawing wood, but I'm sure glad I had a 2' bow saw to help me take care of a bunch of oak limbs that came down in a recent storm!
This morning I put away the knives scheduled for last week and replaced them with this week's prescribed set. Here are some of the knives I'll carry all week. (They happen to be the ones in my "knife wallet" in my LRP.)
Stockman of the Week is a Rough Rider 4-blade stockman, in which the 4th blade is a bottle opener (thanks, Barrett):

European Knife of the Week is a Taramundi, the first knife I bought (in Sevilla) when I visited Spain a couple of years ago:

Outstanding combination!!!!
Ron & 007hunter, that is a prime pair of stellar stag half-congress knives!GEC named that model "Clerk"? Very nice!
My favorite of my wee knives with me today. Small enough to be comfy even in athletic shorts : )

That Barlow is a beauty!Carrying a Dowell barlow and a new model from Bret, an EDC fixed blade.![]()
Thank you kindly. It's a pleasure to own and carry. That Barlow is a beauty!
Thanks GT! I'm happy to report there's no Flitz embedded in the Boker scales. The sparkles in the pics I posted are pinpoint reflections of the polished bone. That is an extremely good-looking Böker Barlow, Tom!

As fine as a Case be guys! (Always like a good Maduro myself too.
Gev, you are a lucky guy. Still keeping an eye open for 'the one'.Weeks beach vacation. 1054 is only folder I brought and my city knife is around here somewhere. 1054 will help me make pastalaya one night.
This, and a bottle of rum, is all I need for a week on the beach.

Troy, your pic isn't showing up for me.New here. Carrying this knife that was found in a field at my uncles house. Was told by a co worker that it could be an old Case. Not really sure as I don't see any markings. Any ideas from anyone?

Thanks,
Troy
Very nice, what pattern?
Although whenever I hear the term "survival knife" I think of SAKs an scout patterns, not big fixed blades for some reason.
But such a groovy tune.I'm a broken record.
