Thanks GT, you have some cool kitchenware this week my friend :)

Interesting Barlow Gev

Lovely pair

Carrying this pretty but troublesome dark beauty.

Are you having trouble with that one pal (let me know)? Looks like it's building up some character

I was up in the Alpine National Park again this weekend, in Victoria's High Country.

Thanks, Chin. Your Pioneer is top-notch, and is the lambsfoot relatively new to you?:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks GT, I've been going through a bit of a SAK renaissance lately, in my 'back to basics' kick - so I examine your Swiss beauties closely to educate myself further on different models.

I quite like how many of the Porchfolk have a favoured knife pattern you can instantly identify with them. Somehow I knew you'd be a MiniChamp man. (Not forgetting your Canoe patterns of course!) Do you find a use for every blade on it?

That Lambsfoot was a kind gift from Charlie Waynorth, earlier this year. (It's taken a little tea dunking since then.) I had it with me this weekend.

And this Huntsman came in the post last week, coincidentally on the same day you posted yours.

That came with me too.

And I'm in no doubt this Pioneer will be one of the future stalwarts of my usin' knives.

Nice photo and knife, Jack - I hadn't seen the inspiration for that mural of Harry Brearley (the inventor of stainless steel alloy) in Sheffield before.

The more I see that A Wright Lambs foot the more in love with it I'm gettin'. I was never fond of wood scales on traditional patterns, I like horn/stag, bone and plastic(celluloid) but that ebony with the silver hardware is perfect. I like the rat tail bolsters on most but the understated, bare bones materials were done and finished so well I could see it becomin' a common/workin' man's heirloom. Grandfather to grandson, fingered and pocket worn I'd love to see what character 30 years in a pocket would add to it. That one's gonna be make me smile every time I see it, thanks for sharin' @flatblackcapo and a great pic too. That's a wallpaper for the phone or tablet for sure.

Well said, @T. Erdelyi, I echo that sentiment. Thought you might like to see this one, which has maybe a hundred years, more or less on it:

Thanks 5K Qs!

This one again today.

Who is the maker of the blade, if you don't mind me asking? :)

I hope you've been having a wonderful weekend my friend, great choice of knives, and it is always nice to see your Unity too :) I managed to get hold of a copy of the book produced in Sheffield for the stainless steel anniversary, and there are some great pics in there, a fascinating story too. I'll have to save my pennies for a copy of Harry's autobiography :)

Superb photos, by the way, mate!

That Davison had a lovely action to it, I recall - and immaculate fit and finish, of course.

Thanks pal, I am very fond of my Davison, it's the most perfectly-made knife I own :)

To a fellow Todd Davison fan, Jack have a great Sunday yourself! Is that Haywood rosewood handled?

Thanks a lot Alan, I'm not sure about the wood on the Haywood, it could be rosewood, but has a lot more character than any other rosewood I have :)

I picked this Boker Barlow up locally yesterday. This was the last one of this model, Grenadill Wood and 440C. There was several of the Bog Oak models available;). I have made a futile attempt to curb my knife spending until the Rendezvous. Oh well at least I had good intentions!

Thanks Jack, I had a great weekend. I hope you've been enjoying yours too, and that fine weather's holding up for you.:)

Cool Cases there r8shell, I really like that stockman with the awl, I'll have to look out for one of those. It's an excellent blade/tool combo IMO - I use my Schrade 36OT Saddleman all the time.:)

Some more pic content of what's in my pocket today:

I've been seeing these popping up lately from several members, and I've got to say that they are fantastic. I love the fact that they have a shield along with the long bolster. Gorgeous knife you've picked up there.
