What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

And thank you, Dee!

Happy Yorkshire Day, Jack! Fine knives to celebrate the day with.

It sounds like a serious holiday!

"I, [Name], being a resident of the [West/North/East] Riding of Yorkshire [or City of York] declare:

That Yorkshire is three Ridings and the City of York, with these Boundaries of [Current Year minus 875] years standing; That the address of all places in these Ridings is Yorkshire; That all persons born therein or resident therein and loyal to the Ridings are Yorkshiremen and women; That any person or corporate body which deliberately ignores or denies the aforementioned shall forfeit all claim to Yorkshire status.

These declarations made this Yorkshire Day [Year]. God Save the Queen!"
Very cool post Dean:thumbsup:

It's Yorkshire Day here tomorrow - well everywhere I guess! :D So I'll be out celebrating, accompanied by these two :)

Very nice Jack; appropriate carry for this most illustrious of days. Wishing you a Happy Yorkshire Day.

Happy Yorkshire Day Jack, great pairing!

Thanks for highlighting a couple of my pics from past vacations, Tom. :)
I hope you can find the sodbuster you want. I think (but I could easily be wrong) that the only bone versions Case offers with CV are the chestnut jigged and pocket-worn whiskey bone.
Great photo of your unique new fixed blade with the famed blue Farmer!:cool:

My "big" knife this week is an Imperial small sodbuster; not sure why I classified this as "big", since that usually is reserved for knives at least 4" closed :

Great pic of the Imperial GT
I had my Case's mixed up, thanks for correcting me. I ordered the orange synthetic handled version with a SS blade, should be easy to find if I drop it and inoffensive around the office. I think I am going to put a 30 degree inclusive edge on it.

For me today, I rarely carry this Esky, not sure why.

The Maltings was my youngest sons favorite pub when he was at the University of York some years ago. Good brews and the bangers and mash were worth the stop there.

Older pic but in my pocket today.

Today I'm carrying a Case Saddlehorn and Swayback in bone stag. I really like Case's bone stag and since Jack Black told us it is Yorkshire Day I took the picture on the photobook of the Yorkshire Dales he gave me. Thanks again Jack Great book.

Thanks pal, I started out wearing my flat-cap, but it was too warm for this time of year - even in Yorkshire! :D

Small world eh Gary? :) And what a great-looking knife :)

Smashing Dean

Many apologies! I didn't realize it was Yorkshire Day today, so I have switched out my carry. How could I remain a Guardian in good standing otherwise?

Rachel r8shell r8shell You're right! I lost my head for a minute. So, I immediately switched to this>

I was last there last Christmas. I'm not sure about the bangers and mash but you can tell your son that the brews are still most definitely worth the stop there. :D:thumbsup:
BTW that's a cracking knife! Thanks for showing that.

Glad you liked that Jack, the Maltings regularly do adverts that cause a chuckle or two. I'm surprised they weren't celebrating, they usually have a huge Yorkshire flag flying from the front of the pub.
