IMG_1616.JPG IMG_1617.JPG Good morning everyone. First post in this section. Hope that I can contribute more in the future. Carrying this 71 Micarta Bullnose today in a slip H&T made special for this knife. I thought it came out great, it actually "Snicks" (?) into place just like a gun in a leather holster. Hope everyone has a blessed week!!!

Using my newest, this Northfield 66 with beautiful dark stag. Sharp as it's possible to be from the factory. Just a pleasure in the hand and to the eye.

Amazing stag, picturerock!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Bonus pic of a big-league knife, deltaboy; thanks! :cool::thumbsup:

...I like your lanyard. Will you make me one:rolleyes::D
Thanks, Alan! :thumbsup: I'll keep your request in mind, but I have to improve my technique a little and work on consistency first. ;) What knife do you need a lanyard for? Lanyard color(s) and material?

...
I keep meaning to pick on of those up, because the "Wild Boar" engraving (particularly the one in the middle) looks an awful lot like an Arkansas Razorback. :D

...
Valid observation, Barrett; you definitely need one of the boar Opinels! :D

Still usin' these two, they've been in my pocket since I took a pic of them last week. They feel so nice, I love the Chestnut bone, it's like a worry stone in my pocket. :)I thinned out the Wharncliffe blade and it'll split hairs. :)

Couple of Case chestnut jigged champs right there, Ted!! :thumbsup::cool:

Outstanding toothpick you have there GT.

Lovingly walking around with this one I found in my mail today, a day early:

Marvelous mellow yellow, Ron! :thumbsup::cool:

Morning coffee with a trio of friends. Going to have to switch up my carries soon, I fear. Or risk inviting the boredom of my fellow porch inhabitants..... I'll get around to it someday :D

That wooden pair is exquisite, Dylan! :cool::cool: I can see why you're standing pat with your current carries! :thumbsup:

Fabulous stag pair, Harry!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Lol. Nice GT and thank you! If I wait until he is 40 I'll be pushing 80, so may I'll just give him a couple more years :). Fantastic foursome you have there!

You sure have some nice stockman knives, Frank! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Have a great Sunday everyone :) :thumbsup:

Ah, the acclaimed Abbeydale is back!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Jack, I was looking at knives at an antique shop near my vacation location yesterday, and saw a little fixed blade with sheath that was marked "Tent" and "Sheffield England". The handle contained a photo of a Canadian Mountie identical to one I've seen on Richards folders. I've never seen the Tent brand before; is it related to Richards?

I'm carrying this one in anticipation of the upcoming run of new #25's.View attachment 745808

Some beauties today !

Carrying this Utica #29 today

Notable old Utica, Steve! :thumbsup::cool:

I'm away on vacation this week and next, so my carries are not what my rotation schedule calls for. Instead, I grabbed some knives that earned a vacation :rolleyes:, as well as some knives that I've decided are going to be "guinea pigs" as I try to learn how to sharpen with my new DMT Magna-guide system and/or freehand with the DMT diafolds. A couple of the practice knives are a modded Opinel #8 (thanks, Dave) and a new Rough Rider large work Knife/sodbuster:

I'm off out for a hike today :) Carrying these two knives, gifts from two great friends from The Porch, who are lucky enough to be spending some time together :) I know they're going to be having a fantastic time :) :thumbsup:

2 beauties Jack, you are in good company :).

Thanks, Tom. :) Grand photo of cream on the rocks!! :thumbsup:;):thumbsup:

Great stag Harry!

Nice Winchester Mark :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack!

I have to go back to my current passion, which is one my three Davison customs. I carry these because, why not?

Great pic Alan!

Nice one Marty! I like that 74 a whole lot.

Even tough I'm still recovering from surgery, it feels great to be able to pick a knife each day to drop into my pocket. :D

Great looking TC Bob! Hope you continue to mend at home!

Real nice Alan!

Kevin, Love that whittler. You should clean your keyboard though. :eek::D:D:D

Bob Cleaning? That's a fantastic PATINA built up on that keyboard , really earned:D:eek:;) Great knives the Black Boxes, I need a few more.

Today, it's a Eureka Moment, no particular reason other that this is a fine pattern from GEC:thumbsup:

Regards, Will

IMG_3851.jpg~original

Love that knife, Jake. If it was a wharncliff secondary, it would be about perfect.

Nice whittler! The patina on the keyboard is more ingrained than on the knife though lol

Note to self; go out today and bury my keyboard in the backyard for a year. :D:D:D:D
Great jigging on the Eureka Will.

No Bob, that's forcing and cheating...patience!:D

Thanks my friend, it's a favourite of mine, simple unadorned Tidioute and all steel:thumbsup:

A year in my backyard is not patient enough? :eek:
Kevin, how long have you been working on that natural pateener? :eek::D:D:D

Saw that on The Walking Dead.:eek::cool:

It took me yearrrrrrrrrs to get that patina! I suggest a mix of Pop Tarts, chicken wings and frozen pizza with just a splash of RC Cola to get a similar pateeeener. ;):D:D
Seriously now, that was a keyboard in a trash pile but now you guys have me thinking about a high carbon keyboard...... Hmmm, I can't decide between good ol' 1095 or Hitachi Super Blue. :D

Will, the Eureka Jack is reeeeeal niiiiiiiice! :thumbsup:

I think I am going with the Bullnose today.

Thank you Jack, beautiful knife but even more beautiful surroundings, what a view!

Jack, Your pairings with the beautiful scenery always brighten my days.

Thanks a lot gents :) Good to see you back Bob :thumbsup:

Thank you my friend, hope you're having a great vacation :) Yes, 'Tent' is one of the Richards marks, though I have mainly seen it on tools (as well as knives) :thumbsup:

2 beauties Jack, you are in good company :).

Thanks a lot Tom, great pairing, and I love your Charlie Mike FB :cool: :thumbsup:

Welcome LB. That's the coolest Micarta I've seen, a perfect fit with the slip. Has it faded with use or was it like that originally?

RE my Eric's Jack, thanks Alan and GT. As I said a lucky find.

GT, I very much like both of your carries today. 'Rough Rider': what a great name for a hard-working knife!:thumbsup: It needs some patina. I suggest "a mix of Pop Tarts, chicken wings and frozen pizza with just a splash of RC Cola.";)
