Nice blends of old and new guys:thumbsup:

btb01, @hamsco and Randy r redden r redden , the workmanship on those woodies is really... (searching for a superlative)... terrific! Form and function in equal measures. The combo of woods and metals on the Carvin especially.

GT, @5K Qs, a smashing brace of Cases on yesterday's post!

I received this out of the generosity of one of our friends (@totkst1) here in a GAW. It's my only canoe, and I wouldn't have purchased one myself. But, it's turned into a real favorite of mine, really full of character.

A lucky pawn shop find. I thought it was an older knife, since there's obviously lots of blade wear, but when I took it home and washed it, I noticed some of the red dye staining the towel. I've only experienced that on some new knives. I don't know how someone could use and sharpen a knife so much without the excess dye bleeding out.

At any rate, I like it a lot.

Thanks, Tom! I'm quite fond of that Carvin. Here's a better look at it, with my little Unicorn Ivory Acrylic #25.

Although I've been CE'ing and CF'ing that #25 since it arrived yesterday, this one's still in my pocket today.

That's a nice looking canoe. I have my first arriving tomorrow. We'll see if it becomes a user. It sure looks good, as do all canoes. I've been tempted numerous times because who doesn't like the lines of a canoe. In any event, mine is stag which means it'll be ok.

Barrett at first I thought that Carvin was a LB76 but it has 1 too many control knobs what model is it? Beautiful bass though.

Todays carry a Seahorse whittler so just in case I ran into any Basswood I paired it with a bass guitar.:Do_O
