What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Interesting story, Jack. I wonder if 90 years or so is the piano manufacturer's recommended interval between tunings!:D

Judging from the racket that piano usually makes, I doubt it my friend! :D

I missed National Knife Day.

Beautiful

Very nice Gary

Peregrin Peregrin , Gary, those AG Russell Pinched Peanuts are in my opinion one of the best things to come out of his arsenal. Very nice.
I agree, Bob. I've been looking at them forever and finally took the plunge. I haven't spent much time with it but my initial reaction is very, very positive.

Great pair! Love the Pembertons, small knives are fun.

My Unicorn Ivory Acrylic #25 Little Barlow has proved itself a solid little worker. I've been carrying and using it with great satisfaction. It's such an easy to carry and practical knife. The Unicorn Ivory Acrylic has also surprised me a couple times, being that I've dropped it on both hard wood and asphalt without any cracking or chipping.

It makes for a nice fruit slicer to prep strawberries for dehydration:

It does well in food prep on smaller vegetables like peppers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and even cucumber. It cuts through hard boilies like butter:

And it takes a very handsome patina contrasted against the creamy white scales:

Hope you don't get too much rain, r8shell! Thoughts and prayers for all those in the Harvey's path!
(Oops! Lost you r8shell  :D)
Sounds like a good day my friend, great choice of knife :) Stay safe
Stay safe. - Stuart
Thanks, guys. I think we'll be alright in Austin, but I'm concerned for folks to the south. I heard the storm's expected to stall out and dump rain until the middle of next week.

Vintage day 5

New to me Hibbard Spencer Bartlett and Co "peanut". Also first experience with what I think is celluloid - to me it blows away acrylic!

The OVB stamp is their Our Very Best brand. I have no idea on the date or actual maker.

Yep, that's purty! - Stuart

That's really beautiful and different JP! I agree about the unique qualities of a well preserved cel knife.

You probably already know this but it's worth repeating... keep it far away from the rest of your collection. You never know when it may break down and ruin itself and other knives.

I feel the same way about celluloid knives.... despite the warnings about them being ticking timebombs....
I can't stop buying them.... :oops::eek::rolleyes:
This was my EDC for a few months.... now its only for specials occasions....
