What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today’s Boker is far more ostentatious. LOL.

How's walk and talk on that beauty? Had another limited edition of it once and it practically had no springs to speak of

Just purchased on the exchange here a sterling silver mounted Roselli leuku. 8" full flat grind blade, curly birch handle. Very sharp. Light and robust at the same time. Roselli sheaths are not especially traditional, but they are serviceable and well made. I wore this as soon as it arrived on Thursday and most of the day Friday (one of the benefits of living on a small farm). It brought down quite a few dead mullein stalks and dried up sunflowers. I'm not sure it will be terribly secure in its sheath for riding, but on foot, I know the knife isn't going anywhere.

The walk and talk is surprisingly good on mine. Far better than I expected for a knife with this level of complication. I have Camillus-manufactured Remingtons of this pattern that almost all suffer from either weak walk and talk or excessively loose blades. It's a tough knife to build. I probably got lucky on this Boker.

Haven’t carried carbon steel in several weeks. 81 stockman today with the essential, taking the kids to the pumpkin patch.

Had the essential yesterday. I watched an older lady fall across the parking lot in the middle at the store. I ran over to help. She had cut her hand pretty good. Another lady came over to help and had some tissue so we started to try to stop the bleeding. Long story short, they brought out some gauze and tape, and while holding her hand all wrapped up, the small fixed blade was the perfect tool to cut gauze and tape. I’ve been questioning my fairly recent addition of a small fixie, but yesterday cemented their position on my belt.

After we got her bandaged up and called her daughter, we helped her up and into the stores break room. She is fine, and no other injuries, thank goodness.

Wife requested filets tonight. A way to celebrate the whole family finally getting over a nasty bug (I hope we are anyway). Homemade mashed taters, homemade bernaise sauce and steamed asparagus. Al Warren helped me disassemble them.

SVT my wife was looking over my shoulder as I was perusing this thread when I came across your post. She had two comments and the first was a question the second a command.

1.) "Do all you guys cut your food up with a dirty old pocket knife?"
2.) " Put that computer up because I need you to go to The Chop Shop (local butcher we use) for a couple of ribeye's so you can grill them after while".

At least I'm having steak tonight. :D:D
