What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Boker once again.

The Sharpfinger is a great knife and deserves a revival as it's so useful. I only have a modern Chinese made one as getting the US ones here in Europe is tricky & expensive, but it's not a bad effort either. What I'd really like is a top condition old one dressed with some very fine Stag slabs!:D:cool:

Regards, Will
Will, it is a neat little knife alright. The way it fits in hand, as you undoubtedly know, is without peer. And, the arc of it's broad belly makes sweeping cuts a snap. (I was doing just that this weekend, slicing open bags of mulch.)

I have been extraordinarily busy as of late and have had little time to check in as often as I would like. This thread is always a priority though, such lovely knives tend to get put on wondrous display.

This is simply just a terrific picture. Subtle, yet poignant. Just beautiful, thank you for sharing.

I keep telling myself I need to try out one of those 14s, they look to be superb knives despite their diminutive size. Yours is certainly a handsome little devil.

Boker once again.

Always enjoy seeing your Scouts, Buzz. You always make them shine in your pictures.

Today - the 25 pattern; custom-made for the tiny Levi's watch pocket. :D

Pictures don't get much better than this one, what a fantastic shot! And an exquisitely beautiful knife as well, you've done well at capturing its essence.

I have had these two knives with me over the weekend and into today. My apologies for the recycled pics, though. I haven't had a whole lot of time and the weather has been a bit finicky for good picture taking as of late.

I was carrying these 2 Red Sawcut Northfield Barlows today

Until this package holding a VINTAGE CAMP TOOL arrived from Auckland , New Zealand from our friend Campbellclanman Duncan . Seeing that it may contain a vintage camp tool , I thought maybe an old Camp or Scout Knife . But instead I found this and it immediately went into my pockets after pictures .

CASE XX USA ; This is a knife that I have searched for locally for 3 years . My pictures really do not show how nice this one is . This also is another knife that is now made of Unobtainable .
Thank you so verrrry much Duncan . It is a real gem .

A BEAUTIFUL knife Harry from a LEGENDARY forum member. His kindness knows no end. Enjoy that one Harry, you are a very deserving recipient:thumbsup:

Yesterday and today. A old Richards camp knife.

Being lazy so sticking with this for the week.

You've got some great backdrops in your knife photos, donn!

That burly burlap micarta makes even a WLST look ultra-manly, Barrett! ;):thumbsup:
I like the Case pen knife a lot. I'm developing quite a strong preference for knives with pen configurations over those with jack configurations; I still like a Case Peanut, but I like the pen knife even more.
Thanks for noticing my canoes. :)
GT's Book of Alliterative Comments on Knives (or GT-BACK) will be available at Amazon any day now!:p

GT, it looks that way because the WLST is ultra-manly, of course! :D (Seriously, though, the #25 is by far the beefiest "small" knife I've used, which is why it's one of my favorite patterns!)

Good eye on the ring, Paul (but the "youthful looks" comment makes me wonder if you're due for an eye exam :D)!! o_O:thumbsup: But I think the angle (or my lack of photo skills) misled you a bit; the high school class ring actually comes from 1969, which doesn't make me much younger. (I DID graduate from 8th grade in 1965 at my little 3-room schoolhouse, and managed to finish high school in 4 more years - no redshirt! :p)

Hey, 1969 is the same year my dad graduated high school!

Just outta the ol mailbox:thumbsup:

Beautiful knife, Paul! I have that same one, but yours seems to have a lot more brownish-green at the corners, which I really like! Mine is more of a faded pea-green.

r8shell, your fish and chips patina is looking good!

P., that notebook and (especially) the handwriting sample are phenomenal! Exactly 114 years old today! Incredible!

Great shot of your sawcut #25!

Harry, that pair is excellent, but the trio is just outstanding!! :D

I've been carrying my OD Green Bull Nose for a few days. Love this knife!
