What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today - the 25 pattern; custom-made for the tiny Levi's watch pocket. :D

Wonderful photograph !! Just walked out back and smelled smoke on this chilly night. Now I know who has a fire burning; both you and Harry :D

I was carrying these 2 Red Sawcut Northfield Barlows today

Until this package holding a VINTAGE CAMP TOOL arrived from Auckland , New Zealand from our friend Campbellclanman Duncan . Seeing that it may contain a vintage camp tool , I thought maybe an old Camp or Scout Knife . But instead I found this and it immediately went into my pockets after pictures .

CASE XX USA ; This is a knife that I have searched for locally for 3 years . My pictures really do not show how nice this one is . This also is another knife that is now made of Unobtainable .
Thank you so verrrry much Duncan . It is a real gem .

Harry

Aw....fresh soup on the fire:);) Red bone XX barlow...wow!!!....that should warm up your nights. Superb, Duncan!!!

They are all gems and ones this nice seem to be the rule:D:thumbsup:

I have been extraordinarily busy as of late and have had little time to check in as often as I would like. This thread is always a priority though, such lovely knives tend to get put on wondrous display.

This is simply just a terrific picture. Subtle, yet poignant. Just beautiful, thank you for sharing.

I keep telling myself I need to try out one of those 14s, they look to be superb knives despite their diminutive size. Yours is certainly a handsome little devil.

Always enjoy seeing your Scouts, Buzz. You always make them shine in your pictures.

Pictures don't get much better than this one, what a fantastic shot! And an exquisitely beautiful knife as well, you've done well at capturing its essence.

I have had these two knives with me over the weekend and into today. My apologies for the recycled pics, though. I haven't had a whole lot of time and the weather has been a bit finicky for good picture taking as of late.

Beautiful Harry, congratulations :) They don't call Duncan 'The Legend' for nothing ;) Well done mate, very generous :)

:)

I was hoping to get over to see ADEE and ScruffUK, but the tail-end of Storm Ophelia has caused travel disruption :( I'm sure I'll find plenty to do! Slipping these two in my pockets

Going with some smaller knives today. The "Monroe Hardware Company - 1966" is a Camillus and rides in my left pocket. (Monroe Hardware was founded in 1886 by Wm. Henry Belk, founder of the Belks department store dynasty, and others, and continues to service the hardware needs of 8 southeastern states from its headquarters in Monroe, NC.) In my right pocket are a Case Pattern 20 Peanut with Appaloosa bone handle (1978) and a Schrade Walden "Junior" stockman (108OT, 1963-1973). The latter two are each 2 3/4" closed, but mighty handy.

Tremendous trio of small folders, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

GT as usual, thank you:thumbsup: The colour on that photo is I'm afraid, rather misleading. It a burnt orange rather than the crimson it seems.

Regards, Will
Thanks for the color correction, Will; spectacular knife whatever the hue!:thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs That very red RR Eureka stockman reminds me of my favorite Red Hots candy.

I can see the resemblance; I hope you get lots of RedHots when you trick-or-treat in a couple of weeks, Stuart! ;)

That's easy to believe, Rob.

Stainless pairing this week. Case Red Etch Peanut in Stag & lionSTEEL Ram’s Horn Roundhead. (Anxiously awaiting the Shuffler!)
Wow! They match incredibly well for two different cover materials, Ratbert!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks! I really like this one; an early favorite for "knife of the year." ;)
...
Your comment gave me pause, r8shell; I haven't thought at all about Knife of 2017 yet!:thumbsup:

Thank you for your kind words Gary! :) I am proud of my two Guardians, both beauties and very well finished! The Stag is very nice on this Lambsfoot, I am fortunate to get it and actually it was quite recently! :D
Congrats on building up an impressive flock of lambs, Ron!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you kind sir !! Yes the main is a spear and stamped CCC
Thanks for the verification, Gev.

...
I'm kind of stuck with this one for the moment! ;)

...
Jack, you have my sincerest condolences for being "stuck" with that tattered beast!! :(:D:D I apparently hadn't seen (or didn't remember) the pile side horn; the markings suggest that knife could have been standard issue to Star Fleet personnel!! ;):thumbsup::cool:

Sawcut Boker barlow to start the week...

Wayne & Steve, the "dueling Böker Barlows" you've each posted recently and repeatedly are killin' me!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Fabulous knives!!:cool::cool:

Congrats, lambertiana; it seems to me that each of these Guardian Lambsfoot knives is sensational!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

GT, it looks that way because the WLST is ultra-manly, of course! :D (Seriously, though, the #25 is by far the beefiest "small" knife I've used, which is why it's one of my favorite patterns!)

Hey, 1969 is the same year my dad graduated high school!
...
I've been carrying my OD Green Bull Nose for a few days. Love this knife!

Barrett, thanks for reminding me of the WLST's intrinsic manliness! ;) At my age, I'm no longer a "manly man in the prime of my manhood", so my manliness detector is dysfunctional. :D
1969 was a good graduation year, my son!:cool::rolleyes:
Your Bullnose is one good-looking sodbuster!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

A terrific trio, GT, and the Boker is electrifying. I particularly enjoy the etched instructions on the screwdriver/scraper blade on how to unlock it.

Back into the woods today to check on a few deer hunting stands and blinds. Will be accompanied by these Queens: Queen City model 82 hunting knife (1925-1945) and Queen Steel model 52 large trapper (1958-1960).

But then I slipped into another pair of trousers at lunchtime, and for got to change knives! So ended up carrying these two this afternoon! ;)

I've thought about it a lot, I really didn't think I was going to be able to have a Knife of 2017 this year, a few nice knives, but for various reasons, nothing that I thought quite justified that title. Reckon I might have it now though ;)

Beautiful photo of a great little knife! And yes, it’s as though these 25s were made especially for that pocket.

Thank you Ratbert! I do get more carry options when I wear Lee jeans, though...I can easily fit a GEC 77, 74, or 48 in that watch pocket. :p:D
