Those are beautiful knives. What is the closed length on the Gunstock?
Powerfully pulchritudinous pair, Padruig!!![]()
Thank you, Jack! Things will return to normal before too long. I hope you are weathering the storms ok over there. Lovely pair of knives and the heather and compass are excellent highlights!
It is not often that I have to look up a word to discover its meaning but that one is quite the example... For those who might be wondering; pulchritudinous means physically beautiful/comely.
Thank you for the kind words and a fine set of knives you have today, GT!
I've switched out a Lambsfoot for another Lambsfoot today, paired with the rugged Churchill.

Ole Honey Butter is looking really good my friend !!!!I have a friend at work that I talk knives with sometimes. He is a lover of Wharncliffe blades. Ok so I am guilty of introducing him to the style by ordering him a 92 Talon several years ago.He told me at lunch yesterday when I was slicing my apple that he was looking at some Queen Barlows with a Wharncliffe Blade. I told him that I could bring him in something today to look at but he was not to get attached to it. So today I was Totin my ole Honey Butter 77 NF that I got from
Old Engineer at the Rendezvous. I took it out at lunch and showed it to my friend. I have schooled him about the difference between Northfields and Tidioutes so he was really impressed, he said “This is a really nice Barlow!” I said yes it is now give it back!
I got my Barlow back and told my friend you would rather have a Red One wouldn’t you? I know that because Red Bone is his favorite! I guess I’m going to be on the lookout for an Old Red Sawcut Wharncliffe 77 NF Barlow!
After all what are friends for?
Wow that is enough rambling for now!
