What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It’s been a while, since I’ve been out here. I finally rotated my weekly rotation. It was more like a month the last time I rotated. I’ve missed a lot on the forum, so please excuse, my absenteeism and possible lack of reply. I enjoy all of the Porch’s members and hope all of you are doing well.

I meant to do all the same bone, but I forgot the Fremont is camel. I’m posting a few pics, so all sides are shown. I really enjoy the stripes on the giraffe bone on the small #25 frame. I picked the Lincoln, because it matched the leaves here currently.

Today’s choice. I love both of these items. The Fremont is my favorite slippie.

The jig's up! Smooth bone today. A Case pattern 85 Doctor's Knife (1974) and a Case pattern 20 Peanut (1978).

Those are both really nice Stuart :) I particularly like the Doctor's Knife though

Speaking of favorite knives; this is one of yours that I particularly like how it looks, Jack. Another knife that just shouts, "look at me!"

...

My carries today are my ubiquitous winter knife, the Presidential, and my Case Jr. Scout. The scout is one of those knives that disappears in your pocket until it is needed. It's also a great CE and CF knife.

Thanks a lot Dean, that was one of my luckiest finds :) Great-looking pair my friend, the Junior Scout is an interesting pattern

That Case is a beauty!!! They really do a wonderful job on those Jr. Scouts. Incredibly handy at such a small size, and not heavy in the pocket either. And the awl is absolutely sensational.

Thanks, Buzz. I totally agree about the awl. Super sharp; it actually works as intended!

Thanks, Dean! I've always considered it to be a good looking knife in a very simple, understated sort of way... not unlike that Northwoods Presidential of yours! :D (To tell you the truth, many of the Northwoods releases aren't my cup of tea, but I'm pretty disappointed I didn't pick one of those up. If I remember correctly, around the same time I bought my Farm Boy -- which was well after they were produced; I don't think the Farm Boy was a hot seller -- KSF had a few jigged bone Presidentials just sitting on the shelf. I wish I would have pulled the trigger on one.)

Thanks, Barrett. The Presidential in ebony is my favorite. I had one of the bone ones, but it didn't speak to me like the ebony, but if you run into one, get it. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks a lot Dean, that was one of my luckiest finds :) Great-looking pair my friend, the Junior Scout is an interesting pattern

Thanks, Jack. :)

I’ll have to show this pic to my Mrs...she just adores those stamped handled knives.

I definitely love the shell handled imperials too.
For me it's not the handles themselves though, it's the fact that the blades are great the knives are nice and lightweight and the fact that many overlook them.

Here's a better shot of the patina on this one.
