What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ok..really nice blade...but more importantly, is that a vintage Vacheron-Constantin??????????????????????????? If so, what the heck??? I want details.

Vacheron who?

Nice Scagel. I need a kick in the paints for not getting one when I had the chance.

This one today, has a slight play on the clip/main blade but the weird bit is a crack on the visible scale near the bottom pin towards the bolster...I have never seen delrin crack, I am thinking its a factory second that they peened the pin too tight and it split? either way I got it real cheap and its black as night on the spine of the blades and springs but the original edge grinds were intact.

I'd love to find another 340T in new condition though to put my own patina on.

I like that Henckels whittler. Very nice with the pearl. How big is it?

Today I think I'll have my Uncle Henry stockman.

I just got the bottom one of these knives. Can't stop raving about it, the pattern is Heavy Old School. GEC 85. My one has Mammoth like stag with cracks and veins running through it, the sides aren't matched BUT I'm lucky to like both of them and they are the same shape/thickness which is important. The pull, W&T, finish, longpull and swedge all first class. In production knives, nobody betters GEC in my experience.

Slider, that's a really elegant watch you show, really something!

I read the bold part last night after a few...beverages, and spent the next two hours scouring the web for a #85 in mammoth scales :o

Ha ha ha! I know the feeling. I just keep clinging to the ridiculous hope that maybe the worker who put the scales on my knife actually messed up after having had a few drinks and DIDput aMammoth scale on my knife by mistake! :D It certainly has a mass of 'veins' and 'cracks' all over the handle. The other side is similar colour but none of these interesting details. Too bad I own neither a camera nor the ability to film, it's a fine specimen and it's been in use all day.

Kind regards

i wonder where i could get me a badge like that?
mine is kinda plain without one.
but i did carry it today for the first time since
i bought it.
it's a little too bulky for my taste, but i still like it.

I think it is a Prince Albert in a can camper................

Had this with me today, Case single blade
Sowbelly that's been "pimped" blades was ground
thinner and swedges made a lot better, Slicer!
Very pocket friendly with sunken joint!

I'm carrying a cheap little Imperial Stockman type blade. I really like it, its nice getting away from the typical tactical folders for one of these. Or both :P
