What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

If that Dozier is a Kings River Semi Skinner then I have the exact same knife. I love it!!

That it is. I'm really enjoying these Dozier's and how they perform. I've spent so much time carrying sharpened prybars disguised as fixed blades I almost forgot how well a blade with good edge geometry can actually cut.

This knife is crowned Bob! Thanks a thousand times @BigBiscuit

Hootchie Mama, that's a sensationally symmetric knife, Dee!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (Probably NOT thicker than my bowls of oatmeal with all the foodstuffs I typically stir in :p!)

Thanks Gary!
You may be right (referring to the oatmeal). :p

Though I think GEC's execution of the clip blade is pretty top notch, I have a big soft spot for their sheepfoot and spear points, and I think they pair extremely well with the TC Barlow. Great knives, guys, and fantastic pictures!

Today I am carrying my Churchill again and have paired it with another useful blade, the Forum TC, inspired by the TCs other members have posted recently.

Thank you!

Excellent pair!

Yikes! This week this thread is reminding me of the situation at work: I'm falling behind in both places, but I've vowed to catch up in each as well!

Classic stockman examples, SVT and Jfowler (although I prefer the round bolsters model ;))!!
Joey, that's some creative coloring you did there, too!:D Hope no serious medical issues for you or your family!
Jfowler, maybe I'm misremembering, but you're coming up with an unbelievable set of old Cases, including many delectable red bones!:thumbsup:

Rachel, have you made your shield decision yet for that knife?
Stuart, that Queen City cattle knife is dandy; what jigging!:cool::cool: (not drinking bourbon tonight, as always:p)
FBC, that round-bolstered Winchester is such a stunning, desirable stockman!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Dschal and Jeff, I'd certainly consider those 74s(?) to be treats, not tricks! ;):cool:

I decided to throw my carved pumpkin bone #73 into the watch pocket.

Awesome photo, j2s!!:thumbsup::cool::cool: I've also seen several examples today, here and in your stag thread, of the edge you put on your family's 72s and 73s; also awesome!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: Do you do any commercial sharpening??;)

Captivating custom 110, mykel!!:cool::thumbsup: Did the Buck Custom Shop do that?

Very nice display, GT, particularly the mature Pioneer. That tortoise shell RR is a seasonal treat, like candy.

Thanks, Stuart. :)

Pairing it with my Guardians Lambsfoot ;)

View attachment 790624 Day 7 (and last day) of carbon steel cycle. Now they are all sharpened up, carried and oiled up inside and out (well, when I put this one up in the morning anyway). And it’s a fitting and completely unintentional finale to use this one on the day I consider the start of my Christmas season! Yes it’s early, and we won’t decorate until the day after turkey day but only because we holding that feast here this year. Normally I would about a week before. Yeah, I’m that guy. I love this time of year lol! This ugly beauty will get carried quite a bit for the next two months.
Party Time!!:cool::cool::thumbsup: Are those "natural" Christmas ornaments surrounding you candy knife??:cool:

A Guardian Lambsfoot has been riding in my backpack for a week:

Every time I see this I wish I had gotten one, too. I used to ignore the acrylics, but lately they seem to have become more interesting.

For wooden Wednesday, it was this

I sure do like the looks of that knife, FBC, excellent Halloween choice!

FBC, that round-bolstered Winchester is such a stunning, desirable stockman!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks Dylan and Gary. Queen did a really fine job on these Black Box knives.

The Ettrick helped with some knife restoration for a friend at work. The long handle and fine point made it perfect for trimming leather washers on the handle.

Two new knives and an old book. I got this book at a book fair in middle school and I've carried it all around from Puerto Viejo beach in Costa Rica to the Andreafsky Wilderness in Alaska. Every time I read it I find something new and valuable. I just got these two knives this week, a Great Eastern Cutlery #35 Churchill in Smooth Green Banana Bone and a Rough Rider Peanut in Smooth White Bone, but they'll grow in value in a similar way to this book: as I carry them around with me and find innumerable uses for them they'll accumulate wear and stories that will make them far greater than the sum of their parts.
But what's the book?
