What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

GT, you nailed it. I'm somewhat ambidextrous, but need to hold the camera in my right hand to reach the controls. Besides, it gave me a chance to show the pile side of the knife.

I'm still horny, today! :D

TMI, Jeff! :eek::eek:;) Memorable knife, though! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Gloomy weather needs a little color.

Great fall colors, Alan, plus threaded bolsters that fall foliage always lacks! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Unbelievable old Utica, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Totin these two very recent acquisitions today. Ebony #35 Churchill and a Senator with Buffalo Horn from A. Wright. :D

Congrats, Ron; those are superlative knives! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Does the A. Wright senator have a lambsfoot blade?

Got this one in the mail last night from @paulhilborn . Thanks to him and @Campbellclanman for putting on the giveaway! I scrubbed it down, oiled it up and brought it with me to work this morning. Gonna give it some pocket time to see if it makes it into my regular rotation!

It came to me in a much brighter red color but the oil down darkened it up a bit. Its a nice little knife, a little smaller than what I normally carry for a "main knife" but about the right size for watch pocket/backup carry ...
Thanks again guys! My first Boker and my first one arm knife as well, tho the one arm part might get some file work to make it more effective.

Matt
Congrats, Matt; that Böker Barlow is looking great! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Very generous (and characteristic), Paul! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

It's a slippery slope! Beware!
I hear you, Gary! :eek:;)

Alox Knife of the Week for me is a Vic Electrician (thanks, Greg):

Couple of champions, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: May none of your knives slip out of your pockets! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks GT :) For the past few years, I've been wearing 5.11 pants. I have 7 or 8 pairs, 4 different designs, but they all a small front pocket on each of the thighs, a bit like this...

So, I just drop a knife in one, and usually one in the other too, keeps 'em safe and scuff free :)

And as from this afternoon, I have added security (and some glamour too I think! ;) ) :D :thumbsup:

Fantastic knives, fabulous photos, Jack!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks again my friend :) :thumbsup:

I'm carrying these two today :) :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack, much appreciated! Striking carries yourself sir :thumbsup:

Love the orange Alan!

The blue Alox Farmer looks fantastic with that yellowish FB handle, Tom! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

- GT

Thanks GT! My other SAK’s are jealous of the carry time the electric blue farmer gets :)

A Charlie Mike custom with me today.

Breathtaking bone, big-league bolster, bewitching bi-bladed Barlow!! W:eek:W, P&G!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a winner, Jeff!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Those are outstanding stag companions, johnny!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Hope you get some stag companions on the hoof when the season opens! :thumbsup:;)

I happened to enter my newer knives into the "for next update" section of the spreadsheet yesterday, so I have a fairly accurate count. The current 29-week schedule contains 183 knives in 10 categories, with a list of 27 knives that have to be added to the rotation for my next "edition". (The 183 may be a little high, because it came from adding the number of different knives I have in each category. But if I really like a knife, I may include it in several categories so I get to carry it more often. :rolleyes: For example, I probably have a Mercator Black Cat in my big knives list, my Euro list, and my bailed list. Those multiple listings probably get counted more than once in my quick-and-dirty approximation.)

Rob, Gary, Jeff, and Alan, I'll be sending you the medical bills after I'm treated for sensory overload!!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::rolleyes: I don't think of myself as someone in the market for a custom folder, but Lloyd stag examples almost always inspire second thoughts about my position!! :D

Couple of champions, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: May none of your knives slip out of your pockets! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

You're an artist, SVTFreak!! ;):thumbsup::cool::cool:

Sweet knife, Wayne! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I rarely carry a full-size trapper, but over the past couple of months, I've become a real fan of a mini trapper, and especially the spey blade. Is there a mini trapper with wharncliffe/spey combination?

Valuable versatility with that package, r8shell! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Boffo Böker Barlow, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Beguiling bone on both, Stuart!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: As I mentioned above, I've recently come to appreciate the mini trapper pattern, and yours looks unbeatable in both form and function! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congrats on the new Bull Moose, Barrett! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Yeah, it's an interesting jigging variation that can stand on its own merits, without the stag pretensions. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Stuart. :) Now I have to learn to do that myself! :rolleyes:

The blue Alox Farmer looks fantastic with that yellowish FB handle, Tom! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Cool photo, Jeff!! :cool::cool::thumbsup: Are you left-handed, or do right-handers always take "in-hand" photos of a knife in their left hand because they need the right hand for effective camera usage? (I've never tried an in-hand photo, but I think I'd have to do it as I described.)

Nice Recruit, H&S; best wishes for your impending procedure!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Looks like you and your Cadet can both do it all, Clay!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:;)

+5K :thumbsup::D

Congrats on the very distinctive whittler, Ernie! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Fantastic knives, fabulous photos, Jack!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, it's no big deal.
Can't remember what they call the procedure, but Ive had bad acid reflux my whole life and they're going to use a camera to examine my esophagus and see how badly it's been narrowed by scarring.

A bevy of Barlows in a box, all Queens, waiting for me to pick for today's carry. Models 22, 23, 25, and 27 with 1 or 2 blades, clips, razors, spears, and sheepsfoot mains, and either Winterbottom bone or saw-cut bone scales (one in Delrin). dates seem to run from mid 1950's to the early 1970's.

I chose a Model 23 with an aluminum frame covering the springs.

[After posting this message/photos and while handling the jigged knives in the picture, I referred to some contemporary catalogues that indicate the the jigged covers are Queen's Frontier bone, a variation on their Winterbottom bone jigging.]

Lovely box o Barlows !

Hope you had a great time Dylan, I love the look of your new FB, and the horn on your Lambsfoot is among the best I've seen :thumbsup:

I'm carrying these two today :) :thumbsup:

Thank you, Jack. It certainly is a pretty little knife, I am supremely grateful to have it. You had quite the duo today, not much that can't be done with those two.

Totin these two very recent acquisitions today. Ebony #35 Churchill and a Senator with Buffalo Horn from A. Wright. :D

Beautiful pairing, Ron! Those two look fantastic together.

I am carrying much the same as I was yesterday though with a bit of a change. These three are all just terrific users.
