Thanks for the photo set-up info and the compliment, Tom.You're doing a big-league, boss job of "selling" that Maserin Plow!
Although my wife doesn't know it yet, she may be getting me one for Christmas!
Your photo today is bewitching in its beautiosity!
The bocote on the rocks looks good with anything else you throw in there, but in my opinion, your ebony BSK is about the most photogenic knife you show us!!
Miscellaneous Knife for me this week is a Keen Kutter Office Knife (thanks, Mark):

Your Sod Buster has a pretty good chameleon act goin on there TomThanks GT! I have a suspicion I may be getting another for my birthday later this month, as my girlfriend asked me "What is better, Santos wood or Micarta?"It is a little strange in that I expected this to be a good knife; Mike hit a home run with the Roundhead. I didn't expect to like it this much though. It checks many boxes for me: D2 steel with a thin edge, great ergonomics, nice walk and talk, and just the right size (I find the Case Sodbuster Jr. just a bit too small). It took me maybe 20 minutes total to tune it. Looking forward to your impression when you are "surprised" for Christmas
. The office knife is a looker

I can't see the knives for staring at the pipe. Man, that is elegant. Knives are nice, too. (Fishing was great. Lines in the water at 7:00 am and the three of us limited out with two fish each by 7:45 am.)Thank you for the compliments, fellas! @donn, hard to beat a nice pipe, especially when accompanied by a campfire and a dram of something to warm the belly.
Harry, that stag is exquisite. You just might convert me yet...
Gorgeous red bone on that TC! I love how the simple spear pairs so nicely with the richly hued bone, a striking picture!
Best of luck on the Bay, Stuart! Looks like you are going well prepared, I hope that filet knife gets a lot of use.
I would have to agree, a striking pair indeed. They have the appearance of being well loved.
I have these two with me today alongside yet another friend. Fall/Winter makes for the best time when it comes to pipe smoking.

Smashing knives and photographs !!! Have a great Friday and weekend too !
I tend to like Battle Axe Brand knives, I think in large part, because the latter-day owners were from North Caroline, the state where I was raised: J. W. Hickey, Tommie Shouse, and George Smith (of Hardin Wholesale and later a partner in Blue Grass Cutlery). I understand, without much evidence, that Fred. Olbertz of Solingen made the knives with 1095 steel and good handles. This 3" half hawkbill is a fun knife to carry. You can see my cellphone reflected in the pin heads.

The earlier discussion of canoes and canoeurship, which occurred whilst I was away fishing (successfully) has caused me to put my Rogers Wostenholm/Schrade 1978 NKCA knife in my other pocket.

(Boy, catching up on this thread after just a few days away is both exciting and exhausting.)
pdevoy Jeff builds a great knife. I believe he worked with Paul Jaeger (the gunsmith) for a period of time. He has a wide variety of talents, including sculpture and photography.
