What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Man, that hair would make a few of these Dallas Hipsters around here super jealous. :) At least the poor fella isn't crammed into tiny pants!

Hey Dylan - they were listed as “dark maple”, they have a bit of a burl to them which is more evident near the top of the tang. Afraid I haven’t captured that very well. It is a 3 finger knife, but I can almost make it a 4 finger by choking up a little.

Thank you for the info, Tom. I've found that 3 finger knives are just fine as long as the ergonomics are good. I would rate the Fletcher I have as a 3 finger knife as well, but it is quite comfortable to handle and use. I've been eyeballing some of LT's knives lately, I may have to give them a shot soon.

Nice carry today Dylan !!! I really DO NOT want to convert you or anyone else to Stag my friend . If everybody would buy it , then the prices would go up and there would not be enough to go around . I just happen to feel real good when I carry nice Stag . At my age , I need all the help I can get .
I also like your pipe . I stopped in 1974 but really enjoyed smoking a blend from a shop in San Francisco .

Harry

Thank you, Harry. I will do my best not to get too "converted" ;), it helps that I am pretty picky. Plus, I would rather see you continue to add more exceptional stag to your collection. It is always a delight to see.

On a different note, I really wish I had a brick and mortar Tobacconist that was local to where I am at, it seems such places are going by the wayside... I have to order my favorite blends online usually, which is usually no trouble but I would still prefer to go to a shop.

I had these in my pockets today . Both gifts from The Legends . The Case from Duncan and the Old Cutler from Paul . 2 of my favorite knives

Harry

An exceptional duo, Harry. Those two pair quite well together.

I'm going to have a go with this one today:cool: I like the 83 pattern a lot.

That is just how I like my stag. Dark, gnarly, and awesome. Beautiful knife, Will.

Have had these two in the pocket all week so far for Ohio deer gun season.

Oh, I am a sucker for brass on classic firearms... I particularly like looking at the old Henrys when I come across them in museums and such. They were such iconic rifles in their day. Nice knives too!

I am carrying these knives today. I might have to switch things up a bit soon, seems I've been carrying similar knives for awhile now...

Thank you Dylan, I got extraordinarily lucky with that 83 both sides are great. When people say a knife is too pretty to use, I can't understand their angleo_O If you are lucky enough to have a beautiful knife that you can use, then use on, and beauty comes in many forms. That 83 dropped out of the heavens though:D

Some very smooth attractive horn on that Wright, great item:thumbsup:

Regards, Will

Wow, Tom, that copper Farmer really looks great "on the rocks"!!:cool::thumbsup: Do you choose/rearrange the rocks depending on the knives you're shooting?

More of my knives for this week:
Canoe of the Week is this Rodgers Wostenholm gunboat (thanks, Tony):

- GT

Thanks GT! I rearrange them depending on the handle shapes so they lay flat for the photo, which is the most difficult part of the process :). Love the fob on the modded Opinel

Stellar combo Tom

Thanks pal! :D You've inspired me to pocket my own Gunboat today (thanks Jer :) ) Also carrying my Guardians Lambsfoot ;)

Thanks Jack, nice pairing yourself sir

I want the blade on this sodbuster to dull so I can sharpen it, but it is not cooperating :). I probably need to subject it to more rigorous duty.

Thanks mate! It's getting really warm lately (35 degree C yesterday) in Australia, my son cut it's hair short.

Love your creamy elephant ivory Jack, long pull spear is also my favorite classic blade shape!

Man, that hair would make a few of these Dallas Hipsters around here super jealous. :) At least the poor fella isn't crammed into tiny pants!
