What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I often joke about "taking in strays" and "r8shell's Home for Worn and Wayward Knives" but sometimes an old knife just speaks to me.


Someone used this old Boker hard, but they loved it enough to reshape the main blade after they broke the tip. Such pocket-worn bone, it was someone's worry stone. I flushed out the dirt with lots of oil, and I'm going to put fresh edges on the blades today.

Just a basic hard working traditional knife today, such impressive knives for the money 2015 Micarta Bull Nose.

Alan, John definitely does some beautiful Stag! A very nice knife my friend!

paulhilborn Paul it’s hard to beat a Bull Nose for a tough hard working knife!

I totally agree with you on that Alan. I know there are others here that agree also. The older Case Barlow’s and some of the last models they made were as good as any made! I personally don’t care for some of the ones they offered with Shields. That’s just my opinion, but a Traditional Barlow don’t have a shield! If Case made Barlow’s on their older patterns, just like they used to, I can’t help but believe they would be very marketable!
