Some fine knives and pics today, you denizens of the porch!
Oh, there's a few others on my person too. I figured this pair is good for Stag Saturday.

Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you..happy.... and many more as bright as that Alox![]()
@scrteened porch Thanks, Jer.Happy Birthday and thank you. The Western does seem particularly tasty. Maybe a previous owner endued it with good vibes and positive waves.
Carrying it reminds me of two things.

First, that 50 years ago when I was more mature, the first be-all and end-all knife I saved up for was a smaller stockman: the pushiness in pocket of a 4-incher outweighed its added blade length.
Second, that another advantage of the stockman is the extra blade you can wear out first to save your more precious blades for the good stuff.
@joeradza With that pair, Alan, I think you can party straight through to New Year's Day!!Gotta be dressed right for a holiday party.

@untytled you may have noticed recurring threads for Stag Saturday and Wooden Wednesday. Maybe you can start a thread for Barlow Thursday, or convince everyone to carry a Barlow all month for any month with a "B" in its name!View attachment 817491
Is there a "Barlow Day" ? I think there should be.
A designated day in which there's a barlow in every pocket of every porch member for the day or even the week. Kind of like a new holiday
Speaking of which... Merry Christmas wishes to all!
Jack, I think you're carrying your empathizing with me too far when you start cutting yourself to share my pain!!
@SteveC , you sure have a lot of nice 2-blade Barlows, and a knack for taking some lovely wintery photos!
@Duckdog The Queen Barlow is fantastic, Stuart!!These are what I carried (very early) this morning for a fun and rewarding outing, though unsuccessful as far as duck gathering goes. Everything was there, except for the ducks. Great morning, anyway.

Cheerful knife, Mike!!
Congrats on the new #78, @lambertiana !!
A photo that dreams are made of, @r8shell !!
That's a superb stockman, Ratbert; handsome shield and stag, sunk joints, low-ride sheepsfoot, slender clip!!This week I carried my Colt serpentine Medium Stockman.
It was gifted to me by a co-worker a couple of years ago. It belonged to her husband and knowing my interest in pocket knives, she gave it to me after he passed. One of those little things that just touches you...it doesn’t make it into the carry rotation as often as it should, though.
