What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nate,

What are these two beauties? Can't quite read the tang stamps but I like them both.

Thanks for the compliments.

They both started out as a GEC Northfield cattle king with the orange squash bone handles. I think that you can see a bit of the #531310 model number on the spey blade.
I sent them off to a forum member to make the cattle knife into a single blade slippy. While it was getting modified I came up with the idea to get a custom EDC made out of the remaining spey and sheepsfoot blades and their spring. They got wrapped up in a linerless black linen micarta shadow frame.

P.S. I give TLARbb total credit for inspiring my single-blade slipjoint mod.

Nate,

What an awesome idea! I thought I saw Titusville on the Sheepsfoot tang but I just assumed my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Very cool!

Like a few others here, I carried this over the weekend. I think I used the cap lifter almost as much as the blade.;)

I picked up 3 or 4 of these a few years ago at a flea market. Gave all away but this one.

I really like the slim profile of the SAK alox patterns.

Its holding up very well, although I haven't used it as much as normal. Just haven't had much to cut. So far so good though with stuff like thin foil to open windshield wiper fluid, oil bottles to make a funnel. All easy stuff though :) I wish I could say I have used it more, but its time will come :) It was a lazy holiday week.

Had my 2011 forum knife in my pocket when I went and sat my written and driving examination for a US license. Passed! :D
