What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A little free time today let me finish this one up finally! The spey blade was wrecked from the factory.. when they tried to sharpen it they toasted the heat treat and the edges were absolutely butchered (most of the blade was discolored blue and gold!). The main blade had some pretty bad rap at the tip and the sheep's foot was super lazy. I just intended to remove the spey, swap it's spring for the one on the sheepsfoot and fix the rap, but the steel pins and nickel silver bolsters make these things a booger to take apart, so this one got the Micarta Shadow treatment. I think it's gonna be in my pocket for a little while ~ it came out pretty sweet!

Still the peanut. The SAK is always on my key chain as well.

Couple of classics, peanutsxx peanutsxx !!:cool::cool: (And if you stuck a green knife at the bottom, you'd have an ever-popular (with me, anyway ;)) "traffic light" composition! :thumbsup::D)

Me too. I took the Churchill out of my pocket for the first time in months & I'll be carrying this one for a while.

@Ironbut , that Case sawcut Barlow is such an awesome old knife! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Stuart! It’s seen a fair amount of pocket time in the last 45 years!;) This knife has a story! Stay tuned! :D

Today, these two provided a little sunshine on an otherwise dreary day! :D

Another "teaser", Ron??? :confused:
That pair could certainly raise any knife fan's spirits! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you GT. I'm afraid I don't know what this celluloid was called (knife-collecting novice that I am :oops:), only that I'm glad that it hasn't become spontaneously-combusted celluloid...so far, anyway. :D Also very glad to own a piece of history from the town where I was born.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Thanks, Gary. You know, I saw a glove in a post over on Forkforums.com. May be that was yours...
:D Seems doubtful that it would be my glove. Did it look like the one behind my "Silver Bullet" Imperial?

New to me Dr. T.. my first knife by him..watched it for sale until I just couldn't resist. .. not sure where in his career progression this one was made but I am really happy with it.. I might become a stag convert after all. And I am on his wait list for another!

Congrats, Drew, on another fabulous knife for your collection! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I enjoy seeing that unusual stag Forum knife, @Mykel!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, man. It is a Ka-bar. The swedge doesn't show up in this pic very well but I added a pic of a Shrade Cut co with a fine swedge so you can get your swedge fix. haha.

QUEEN! My only Queen.

Congrats, F Falling_rain , it certainly looks regal! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Five blades. It's a variant of Buzzbait's beloved Camillus Remington (R-4(?)).

I was racking my brain about what I'd put in the one perfect knife, and I thought, "wait a minute...". This is close, but I wish it had an awl.
I'm afraid my camera is dying.
Thanks for the additional info and photo, Jer! That looks like it's in excellent condition! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Wow, wonderful Case whittler, @Travman !! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I forgot to include any of this week's knives for me in my post yesterday (although I doubt if there was much room available). Here are some of my "recent arrivals" I've been carrying this week while I work on the new, improved edition of my rotation schedule. I'm gonna take my cue from Elvis, who sang something like, "You'll be doing all right with your Christmas of white, but I'll have a canoe, canoe, canoe, canoe Christmas!"

Thanks GT! I need to train my eye better...didn't even occur to me. But then I don't have a green knife...hmmm...

That is a boat-load (???) of canoes! Very nice!
