What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This travels in my pocket quite often. Seems it carries well if I remember to put in my pocket tip down and have a key wallet in the same pocket, the wallet props the knife up and does not let it fall horizontal.

Gorgeous knife, Gev, and as always, a primo photo, too.

I've got my '87 Winchester coffin jack and olive green Cadet today. The weather is horrendous here, so an indoor flash photo will have to do, sorry.

Just saw this...why thank you kind sir and always greatly appreciated, Jeff !! A fine pair indeed and those and that Winchesters are amazing knives :thumbsup:

In my head, this was going to be a great picture for a Mini Monday: some small Cases on top of a case of Cases. Then, I stepped outside. Oh, well. Apologies for the glare/reflections. The smallies are, clockwise from upper left: small premium pen (1970), red peanut (2007), blue peanut (2011), Appaloosa peanut (1978). The display case is a Christmas gift from our son.

Smashing gift...wow !! Love the whole presentation !

View attachment 847566 The mail came today and this 78 kicked the other 78 out of the pocket. Wanted to try out a two blader. Actually really like it  also wanted the "carbon" tang stamp sense I'm a nerd:cool: Please excuse the oil and finger prints :D View attachment 847567
Although I love the looks of the single blade, I regret not getting a two blade from a practical standpoint. My cocobolo is slim and could afford another layer.
Your pic makes that pen look long!

Duncan that's a nice one my friend! @paulhilborn That Paul really knows how to pick em! :D

Very nice Sambar on your Senator Jack!!!:thumbsup:

I'm totin' two today. It finally stopped raining long enough for some outdoor photos. The Hawthorne is a recent acquisition, but the Big Rosewood Lambsfoot has been here for awhile now! Have a great Sunday everyone! :D

Gorgeous, both of them!

oldtymer oldtymer That is a beautiful barlow. The lined bolster (which hints "GEC") is nice. I apologize for needing to ask, but who made it?

Thanks for the kind words. That is a Schrade Heritage from 1983-84 era. It does not have the appropriate shield as it marked a second. (see pic of tang)
I dont' know what they found wrong with it as to me it is almost perfect. Nice even grinds on the SS blades, red bone covers transition to the bolsters seamlessly.
Came to me from a fellow member last year unused. It is finds like this that make this forum a great place to hang around, that & all the great people here on the

The extra layer is nice in the hand. That's because it is long! Almost as long as the main !:)

Had three in pocket today: my Case Elephant Toe in smooth red bone and Tru Sharp, a favorite given to me by my youngest son. my Case Slimline trapper in yellow delrin and CV, last but not least my GEC #76 Yellow Rose.

I got out my hand sharpening stones to get rid of the "precision sharpened" edges and put on my convex edges on at least two of these. Sorry, say what you will guys, I prefer a semi-polished hand-sharpened convex edge on my traditional knives. Glory be! They finally cut like they are supposed to.:D
