What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got this in the mail yesterday, dropped it in my pocket today. That's fast even for an inveterate user like me.

Today I took my Case Peanut Blue Bone and a Case Stockman Yellow Delrin CV. Nice combination. Can´t take any photo, my camera fell out of hand on Sunday... :( :(

Kind regards
Andi

Hey Kevin,

I really like that first photo. The second makes me think "up, up and away!" for some reason. :)

It's 79 degrees where I am at the moment.

Thank you Luciano :)

I saw an airplane fly by and it made me think flying sodbuster. I know, I have lost it.

Cheers for good weather.

I'm going to blatantly steal your photo idea (hope you don't mind) but these are my essential gear. at least until I get the trapper back.... or a new knife to add to the rotation.

Actually if i can ask, Is that the large Saddleback wallet or just a really small knife? Cause my pocket hunter (above pictured) is sub 3 in and thats the medium wallet.

Don't mind at all. The wallet is a medium chestnut. The knife is a Winchester Congress Pen, with a 3 1/4" closed length.

hmm, well i guess my photo just makes the pocket hunter look bigger than it is, oh well.

You have excellent taste in both wallet and knife sir. and thank you for letting me use the pic idea.

Thanks guys. There is still a VERY minor issue with the shield, it's just a hair off, but nowhere near how bad the last one was. Makes me think there was a miscalculation or something during the tooling/planning phase for this knife/scale combo as the majority of ivory fruitports I've seen have a shield issue. I gotta say though that it's so minor in this one, the ivory is so nice, and the knife is just so rock solid that I'm extremely pleased with it. I don't have much luck here in FL with carbon steel so I'm gonna try the old Chapstick trick before thinking about forcing a patina. Anyway it's back in my pocket today. Here's a pic of the pile side, it's matched very nicely:

My fruitport is bone has the same shield issue so I think your theory could be correct. Fine knife, but perfection is always nice:). In terms of function these knives are amazing

Lately I have been carrying some of my custom knives but today it was my newly acquired Case/Bose Norfolk. I am completely spoiled by these higher end blade steels.

Nice choice. I'm keeping an eye out for one in antique bone. They say the fun is in the hunt, but I gotta say that I'm not enjoying myself very much right now. That's what I get for lollygagging.

Is that a slip joint, Tom? Your pic shows up plenty big for me when I hover over it with the mouse pointer. That's just the way the forum attaches pictures. If you want them to show up bigger in your post, you need to use a photo hosting website and copy the IMG code to the post.

You also need to update your usergroup.

No, a linerlock, 3-38"/8.6cm blade.

Thanks for the hint about updating. I still don't have some things figured out.
