Today, I carried this one at work, hoping I find some time to start sharpening it. Meanwhile, I steal glances of it, and enjoy the elk scales:

A Schrade Stockman, US made, which I was given from rwc53 (Ron). Great little knife!

Kind regards
Andi

Green Bone GEC Tidioute #66 Jack---I love the patina on both the blade and the springs and how the razor sharp carbon blades have that nice shinny contrast:)

the knife i carry whenever i've got pockets. my grandads buck 303 cadet. he was a true craftsman carpenter. one day he pulled this scabby looking little buck from his pocket to scrape off some dried glue in the corner of a new cabinet door, i took one look and knew he needed a new knife. two days later i presented him with a new replacement 303. he grinned and handed me the old one and said "looks like a good trade for me". i've never been without it to this day. he passed in '06 and i now have the "replacement" which is in a box waiting on his oldest great grandsons 13th birthday.

Very nice shots. I've noticed that GECs take a good even patina on the springs (not always so with other marques)

I've got the same knife but in Orange, think your Green looks a lot more like it! I've not yet taken to this model, no idea why as the quality is outstanding. Maybe Orange is not for me?

Got this one out today for a hand polishing, tossing it in the sheath and going for a walk.

Kevin, that's a beautiful knife!!! Enjoy your walk...

@ Willgoy---I've seen the GEC #66 in Orange also, very nice I think---It's a great medium sized hard working Jack. I know what you mean though in regards to not warming to certain knives. It's funny how down the road you throw it in your pocket---use it and wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
