Out of the blue a former forum member that I keep in touch with sent me a Queen slipjoint Mountain Man with D2 blades and bone handles. Today it is going lobstering with me and it kicked the Snap-on stockman that I have been carrying and using since August out of my pocket...

Fine example of pocket worn WB there!

Today, one of Mr Hampton's Teardrops fell into m pocket....

Gonna have to slap a "pics or it didn't happen" on that statement. You already get to own it, at least let us see it! ;) :D

Here's what's in my pocket today:

That ivory is amazing! Look at the rich tones flowing through it! I agree with Sam, way to stick to your guns.

You've got a point Nathan, but I don't own a camera:eek:

Can be seen in the KH knives thread though:D

Very nice Nathan!! I like the ivory on that one.
Carrying my GEC #48 Jack. The patina changed a bit but otherwise it still looks the same.

Thanks guys. There is still a VERY minor issue with the shield, it's just a hair off, but nowhere near how bad the last one was. Makes me think there was a miscalculation or something during the tooling/planning phase for this knife/scale combo as the majority of ivory fruitports I've seen have a shield issue. I gotta say though that it's so minor in this one, the ivory is so nice, and the knife is just so rock solid that I'm extremely pleased with it. I don't have much luck here in FL with carbon steel so I'm gonna try the old Chapstick trick before thinking about forcing a patina. Anyway it's back in my pocket today. Here's a pic of the pile side, it's matched very nicely:
