Great grains to start the day.
Wonderful picture my friend !!!! The Old Red Sawcut looks great but that old yellow knife is just something else when you take the photo . Well done my friend .Two for Tuesday! It seemed like a good day for some Sawcut!

It will take a lot of wear to get the Sawcut to wear off . This picture of my 2 Red Sawcuts show the wear on my 25 , which has barely been carried , and the 77 which I got in the spring of 2015 and carried quite a lot with no slip .I always admire your barlows! Now that I've got a 77 coming my way, I'm curious about how the sawcut wears over time. Does it smooth out considerably, or do the grooves go pretty deep, so that it retains some of its ridges? I've never had sawcut before, so I have no idea what to expect (although, if someone is willing, I may go in for a trade to get ironwood--I love woods and especially ironwood).
Hospital yesterday, dentists today, I feel like the Six Dollar Man!Slipping these two in my pocket

Joshua : He has so many , that you would not get much wear on any of them .I tell you what. I'll send you all of my other knives, and you can send me all of your 77s and I'll test the wear on all of the handle materials for the next 30 years!![]()
Dylan : I hope you are getting a Red Sawcut to go with that great little #25.I am carrying a couple of smart looking Barlows today. They certainly outclass myself, for sure.

We are getting a drenching rain today to be followed by a snow storm tonight and tomorrow. Outside and inside photos are difficult to achieve, so I re-posting an earlier pic of my choice for today. Since I won't be going out, except for a short errand, it won't be taxed too tremendously. An Empire (Winsted, CT) bare head jack in cocobolo from the 1856-1930 period. 3.25" closed.

You could look at some of the older Barlows in the Barlow thread and also get some more visual samples . I will challenge you to carry it as your EDC for a year and then show us how much wear you have on the Sawcut . Congrats on getting a 77 Reservation . I would encourage you to keep the saw cut and go for a Desert Ironwood in the future . I think you will really like to use your 77 Sawcut . Stay safe my friend .

I was going to say , you show me your fencing pliers and I'll show you mine , but I am not sure now that I could find mine anymore .I would say "I hope everything came out well at the dentist", but that would be a very bad pun.
Curious about the pliers in the second photo. Is that a Brit version of fencing pliers? Seems like the curved jaws is a smart touch for pulling staples or nails.
I'll have to pose a knife with my American fencing pliers.
LOL!I've seen! That picture he has of that large display stand always makes me smile. I'd have to carry two in every pocket and wear a jacket every day just to give them a chance.

Well, I have a hard time keeping my own kids' names straight. . .
