Thanks Will! It’s really hard to beat a XX era Barlow. This thing could be up to 78 years old and it is still tight as new.

was very happy that was able to recently aquite this 74’ Case Loom Fixer , needed a little clean up, but for $31 bucks was a steal, combines all my favorite features in both pattern and blade, and have carried all week

Toting two Barlow’s this morning an old classic and a new classic!

It's always nice to see the old Case Barlows. I have one that's about 44 years old & another that could possibly even be as old as me! (And that's old.) I have several TC & NF Barlows that are nice, but I'll take the old Case XX's any day.

Even if you could sell it for more in the future, how much profit would it really bring? Enough to cover a house or car payment? Or more like a dinner in a nice restaurant? How much enjoyment would using it bring? I say use it.

I don't know if I'll live long enough for my new knives to look like this Boker, but I'm enjoying them.

... Your RR Canoe has a very interesting and unique pattern of Sawcut. The bone also exhibits a very rich deep color which is very well done. All that coupled with those fancy bolsters make for a great looking knife my friend!

So my buddy at work just walked in and totally hooked me up! He's a fellow knife nut (fixed blades) and bought a box of knifes from one of his friends. This was in the box and he gave it to me. Stellar guy! Needs some love but I'm gonna give it a good home

Splendid Wednesday change of pace, Harry!

We awoke to to a walloping wintry whiplash from Winter Storm Toby, as did 70 million other shivering souls in the East.... I ain't going anywhere. So my daily carry selection was pretty easy: a SAK and a No. 8 Opie, though neither should see much work, as I'll be preparing a rabbit ragout while house-bound.

I was going to put up a different couple shots, but the cool thing is, in the shadow the shiny part of the blade is the edge, an indication of what a light saber it is.

Fantastic Electrician, Neal! FWIW, I'd use it, but that's just my philosophy on my knives, and I know lots of folks store away many of them.
