What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Gary. So much so that I stopped lusting after a Halfrich.

joeradza joeradza you still need a Halfrich someday.

Alan, I gotta agree with John on this!
This pic was from 3 weeks ago, but there's once again snow on the ground here, so it could have been taken today! Gettin old!

@Travman , Half/Stop Half/Stop , @Jack Black , joeradza joeradza , pmek5 pmek5 , and others - there are a lot of great knives popping up. I got so jacked over the jacks posted that I collected a couple of capable Ka-Bar codgers as carry-jacks today: a medium (3 5/8") jack in jigged green (?) bone and a large (4 1/8") jack in jigged brown bone, both from the 1923-1950 period. They are sturdy - the large is 5/8" wide.

Thank you for the compliments, Stuart. I love the old bone in many of the knives you have been posting lately and the two you are carrying today are real beauties. I also appreciate your ability to capture such details in your pictures, showcasing everything about the subject knives, from their imperfections to their hidden beauty. You do a tremendous job at capturing their overall character.

Wonderful old sawcut on that Barlow, Jack! Just wonderful.

I have these two with me today. A big one and a little one. My daughter has been curious about my knife photography so she wanted me to take a picture of one of her knives (given to her by her grandfather) and she wanted it to have flowers in it (of course). She is also expecting me to give her a report on whether or not anyone had anything to say about her knife at the end of the day.... So go nuts, but please be gentle, she is only 9. :D

For some reason, this knife always seems to disappear for stretches of time, but it’s always a pleasure when it shows up again!View attachment 881661

Is that a 15 or a 77?

Your photographs always put the knives in their best light. As much as I like my 43 Cocobolo, your pictures make that red jigged bone look oh so good!
