Fresh shave (with the razor, not the knives :))

... it's light on Welsh and Old English this year.
Well, that IS a disappointment!

Thanks for the kind words on my ebony Lambsfoot, Unity, and Haywood my friend :) ... Always a treat to see your Eternals :)
...
Thank you, Gary! Your Quartet is indeed Quality!:thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind comments, Jack & Dean & Karl. :)
Karl, that jigged wood is intriguing!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Gary. Nice Quotidian Carry (QC)!

That particular affliction is something I've noticed myself. I find it helpful when explaining to my wife why something on my "honey do list" hasn't been done yet.

Same ol same ol for me.

Speaking of nice QC, your trio is tops!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I like the way you make lemonade from a time management lemon, Gary. ;)

I’ve found that retirement has improved this geezers time management skills dramatically! :D
Thanks for the compliments my friend! :) The quartet looks to be ready for a gig!

Bumming around the house today with a new-to-me old Barlow. Thanks, Grateful. :)

That's one of my favorite shots of your Guardians Lambsfoot, Jack, but I like seeing the pile side now and then, too. :)

Superb, Lance!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That clip/spey combo makes it a Barlow mini trapper!:cool:;)

Whoa!! That's an amazing photo!:thumbsup::cool:

... I intend to use every knife I purchase but my cocobolo is the most flawless item I own. ...
Don't know, man; that Damascus teardrop your bride gave you is pretty darned flawless, and you had no trouble using that one!!:D:D

Thanks GT ! I found out more about this knife. It is indeed a Queen #10 from 1961-62 and never had a tang stamp as it originally would have had a blade etch instead.:thumbsup:
Thanks for the update, Steve.:thumbsup:

Congrats on the new TC, @JITDC !:cool::thumbsup:

... A Crucible Knife Co. boy's knife (1926-1929) on the left, and an Aerial Cutlery regular jack (1912-1944). At least they have spear mains for you.

Thanks, Gary , I will never be able to look at Betty and not think "Bam Ba Lamb" ever again. ;):D
What SAK is that? At first I thought it was a Mini Champ but now I don't think so...

@lambertiana, Lovin' this one, thank you!

The SAK I always carry is definitely a MiniChamp; maybe the bigger keyring, s-hook, and suspension clip I stuck on the end of it throw you off. Splendid Moore Maker!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Something a little different today. J. Mutz single blade canoe in smooth antler....

5K Qs 5K Qs That multiplication table knife is just one of the coolest things I've ever seen haha, the whale tang stamp really just caps it off!

Very cool!
Could have used that in school!!;)

Your European multiplication table knife is unusual. Do you ever wonder if anyone actually used that to check their math?

I'm carrying my latest knife purchase today. It's a Buck 371. I sharpened it, then cleaned, oiled and worked the joints. I've got it how I want it now. I am amazed at the quality of this knife for the price!
Many thanks for the compliments GT :) Your Richartz is too cool for skool ;)

5K Qs 5K Qs That Whale tang stamp is making me think of Capt. Ahab :D Very cool indeed, the multi table is a nice feature but Maths, which is a great & international discipline, left me out as soon as I could do mental arithmetic. I'm adept at it and surprised by how few people today seem to be able to do ito_O But trigonometry..logarithms.. calculus they are extinct (and not mourned:D) species to me;)
Love that Richartz, GT! I don't know if I've seen a better conversation starter!

Thanks for all the comments about the times table knife @Blake the Blade sent me! :)
Dean, I have a Buck 371 like yours that Randy sent me; lotta knife!:thumbsup:
Jack, congrats on the Case SBJ!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Pairs well with your ebony lambsfoot.
Will, you've given me new goals! I wonder if I can find knives that feature trig, logs, calc!
Shawn, I see what you mean about taking a 2-year-old to that kind of event!!;)

Stunning #12, Duane!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Didn't you used to have an ebony Powderhorn, too? That was an exquisite knife!!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you for all the kind compliments, GT, and my apologies for addressing them so late. I will be sure to read your words to my daughter when I get home from work today, I am certain they will bring a smile to her face.
A very useful and terrific assortment of knives today, GT. Very nice.

I have this one with me today. Not sure why the 74 has flown under my radar all this time, but it really is quite a delightful knife.

5K Qs 5K Qs thanks Gary, I still have the Ebony Powderhorn, it got carried for the better part of the last four or five years. I thought maybe time to change things up for a while, and took pity on the looking glass sitting in its cold dark tube.

@SVTFreak Wow! That knife looks amazing. What is the handle material? And I am just as big a fan of Dave's leatherwork as I am of his knives. Tremendous craftsmanship @Horsewright !

Leslie I know this post was directed at GT, but I sure do also love dogs and Sodbusters so this pic brightened my Tuesday morning. Thanks for that!:D

Paired up these two 77's today :D

Gary, these two are fine examples of knives I didn’t know I needed until the porch found me. Absolutely beautiful, you sure know how to pick ‘em! :)

Alright, here’s a pic of my Beaver Tail post lime prep last night. I apologize for adjusting the brightness down so much, it’s so bright and overcast this morning and I wanted to show the patina. The splotchiness isn’t my favorite ATM, but I know it will even out with time and use!

I'm thinking my originally Ivory Bone TC needs a dye touch up. I could go black and get it nice and dark, but I was thinking red. Might give it a nice undertone. Thoughts?

I might also dye my Smooth White Bone #78.

Also, were there any red sawcut bone #14 TCs made? I can't find the production totals/info on GEC's site anymore.

Thanks for the kind words GT, that pic of my Guardians Lambsfoot is taken in Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, early on a winter's morning. I'll try to remember to take a few pics of the pile side, I don't have many

Thanks a lot Dylan, those 74s certainly are great-looking knives

Rotten weather forecast here tomorrow, but I'm off to hook up with @ADEE and @scruffuk. Among the knives I'll have with me are my ebony Lambsfoot, and the Case Swayback Jack, I received from Gary today (see https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...nals-of-course.1167349/page-490#post-17992803) :) Thank you very much my friend

Thank you, Jack. Looks like you have your bases covered, can't go wrong with a bit of Ebony in your pocket.

Thanks Dylan. :D I have four different Ebony Tidioutes from 2013 and they all have beautiful color and grain!:)

Looks like I am going to have to be on the lookout for some 2013 vintage Ebony. I do so enjoy smooth, lustrous ebony, but that grain on your 79 is rather captivating.

Thanks, Dylan, and congrats on that sublime 74.

Thank you, Stuart. It is a fine knife and I am quite grateful to a fellow member here for making it available to me. The clip blade, though not unattractive, is an interesting shape, at least to my eye. And the Ebony is, of course, simply exquisite.

Paired up these two 77's today :D

Lovely pairing, Harry. I must say that there isn't anything much better than sawcut on a good Barlow. It really is the perfect sort of cover for quite the exceptional knife.

Thanks, Dylan. :) Yet another great photo from you!:thumbsup::cool: Some day I'm going to have to sit down and learn the differences among 72s, 73s, 74s (and many others).

Thank you, GT. I must say that I am with you in regards to the differences between such knives, they have flown under my radar for the most part up until now.

I know, Gary. Your photos are what got me thinking about getting one! I'm carrying it again today along with my venerable Ancient.

Wonderful picture of your Ancient, Dean! Rather perfect, actually.

That turned out wonderfully! Forgive my ignorance, but what color were the original covers? I might be sorely tempted to try and dye my white bone 78...

I have a bit of a penchant for red and black and today is no exception. I put these two in the pocket. As you can see, more rain.... It wouldn't be the PNW if it didn't rain... A lot...

5K Qs 5K Qs Thanks, GT. SteveC SteveC Very nice Camillus (as were the others you have shown).

Edited to add: I'm carrying the same SAK Tinker and GESCUT Daddy Barlow as yesterday, just not re-posting their picture. Maybe something old tomorrow.

The TC was originally Smooth Ivory Bone. I then tried a tea bath and it looked terrible, so I dyed it black.
