What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

LOL...thanks!!! @Buzzbait I think we might be...

I might be running for bronze here, but at least I like the direction we’re running ;)

Thank you, Jack. I neglected to mention your most excellent Rope Knife, an excellent SFO from Charlie. I had a terrific conversation with him regarding his upcoming Ancient TC SFO at the Oregon Show and, I must say, the details he is working out with GEC are intriguing and I daresay might very well catch your fancy as well.

I'll have to catch up on that Dylan :) I've said it before, but I genuinely believe that a hundred years from now, knife-collectors will look at Charlie's SFOs with open mouths and proclaim him a god! ;)

At one time, I had a single blade of that one in ebony. It was shades of brown not black. I like the blackest black in ebony, but I can rarely get it.

Vantaebony!

Blazing Saddles ( found this one by chance. I will tell about it in its own thread when time permits - for now here it is Under the Tuscan Sun ) yes it would give Diane Lane a run for her money ;)

Figuratively speaking my friend. But I'm still shaking ...what a rush :) Hard snaps on all implements and hardly needs cleaning. The stag is...omg...did I mention I'm still shaking  I have been looking for years and the heavens opened :D The pattern of my dreams

Congratulations Gev, that looks to be in superb shape :) Looking forward to seeing more of it :)

Wright, Wadsworth,Buck, Kutmaster, Vic.
The Vic arrived today. It's one of four of my aloxes, and the only non-red.

Fantastic! :)

Thanks, everyone! As fun, enjoyable, and relaxing as yesterday evening was, today was 100% the opposite in every way. Had my Che Chen Rosewood GEC 25 in my pocket today, though, which made for a bit of a highlight. No picture, though, because my phone has decided to work only when it pleases.

Great knives over the past couple of days, guys. I feel behind a day and just got caught up on this thread. Having been a bit busy (inexcusable for a retired fella) yesterday and today, I was again rushed to pick my daily carries and to get them posted. The fine Camilli posted @SteveC and screened porch screened porch prompted one of my choices today; the other just fit in to make a pair. A Camillus cattle knife (4 line, all blades, so 1919-1941) and a Kutmaster stockman (1929-present). The KUTMASTER/UTICA,N.Y./U.S.A. tang stamp has a T stamped underneath; anyone know what that signifies?

Had a wonderful evening out with my beautiful bride for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Started with dinner at my wife's favorite sushi restaurant, then to a top place that is part bakery part bar and had a cocktail with dessert, then walked a block to my buddy's brewery to have a beer before calling it a night. I carried the Case Texas Toothpick that I picked up while on our honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains.

Happy Anniversary !

A GREAT knife, Charlie and GEC really did well with the Ancient :)

That's some lovely ebony my friend

Like the Ancient TC, I consider his Rope Knife to be one of Charlie's absolute finest. It's been too long since I carried it :)

Pairing it with this old Alfred Blackwell Lambsfoot

Thanks, Jack but this Moore is buffalo horn. We can pretend it's ebony for today, it being Wooden Wednesday and all. ;):D
You are right about Charlie's Rope knives and that Lambsfoot of yours looks to be well loved.

I'm looking forward to that thread, Gevo. What a knife!

The Moore is still with me.

Not sure where I've been Gev but this along with the farmers jack are OUTSTANDING!!!:eek::eek::thumbsup::cool: the covers on both are mellow in a most amazing way:thumbsup: and roger wilco on the hug to Nanc;)

Sweet Moore Maker !!!
Thanks, Gev. It is my first from Moore Maker and I have to say that I am thinking about buying a back up before all of the Queen made are gone. By the way, what would you call this pattern? Cattle Stockman? Harness Stockman? Punch Stockman? Stockman with a punch instead of a Sheepsfoot? :D

I would venture to say punch stockman but as Jake @supratentorial has noted many names were used. see @waynorth thread on Cattle Knives. It's not equal end or a premier and it is serpentine so I'm sticking to my first answer :D

Edit: Here is the thread nine pages back

I haven't seen many of them, Stuart. I have my clip/pen Imperial USA and a clip/spey Buck that bring me joy. :)

A Johnny Cash song fest sounds like a great thing!

This Moore again.

The song fest was great for the participants, but my wife claims it was less than ideal for innocent bystanders!
Unusual clip blade on your Moore Maker. Is that New Riders of the Purple Sage in the background??

Paired up these two 77's today :D

What a pair!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the complimentary words Gary! :) If your like me, getting used to being retired will take some time. Dang, it took me at least two hours!!! :p:eek::D
:D:D Thanks for sharing your experience, Ron!:thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs thanks Gary, I still have the Ebony Powderhorn, it got carried for the better part of the last four or five years. I thought maybe time to change things up for a while, and took pity on the looking glass sitting in its cold dark tube.
Thanks for the info, Duane!:thumbsup::cool:

I know, Gary. Your photos are what got me thinking about getting one! I'm carrying it again today along with my venerable Ancient.

Great knives and pics, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup: The photo of your Ancient especially gives me hope that spring might be coming! ;)

...Alright, here’s a pic of my Beaver Tail post lime prep last night. I apologize for adjusting the brightness down so much, it’s so bright and overcast this morning and I wanted to show the patina. The splotchiness isn’t my favorite ATM, but I know it will even out with time and use!

XCrqMhO.jpg
Your Beaver Tail looks better every day, Karl!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind words GT, that pic of my Guardians Lambsfoot is taken in Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, early on a winter's morning. I'll try to remember to take a few pics of the pile side, I don't have many

View attachment 885024
Thanks for the pile pic, Jack!:thumbsup::cool: I really like the "figure" on that side - for some reason it reminds me of space travel, at least my "Star Trek" influenced idea of space travel.

Nice one, Steve!:thumbsup::cool: Lots of BF members have those Camillus 72s.

I have a bit of a penchant for red and black and today is no exception. I put these two in the pocket. As you can see, more rain.... It wouldn't be the PNW if it didn't rain... A lot...

If my wife comes in this evening and calls me "Gary" or "Harry" I am going to get a little concerned!!!:rolleyes::p
Ha! My apologies, Ron! I am so used to seeing Harry's red sawcut 77s, I didn't even bother to check the author of your post....
Oh no, my bad! I’m still trying to learn everyone’s names here and to be honest I’m not great at it in person either. Nice to meet you Ron haha!:confused:
Persons on The Porch are a pleasant, polite pack of people!!:thumbsup:;)

Ha, I was right! o_O:D The Mini Champ has to be the king of key chain knives.

I agree about the Minichamp, FBC; it's earned its position as one of my 24/7/365 knives.:cool::cool:
