What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm with you. I've been carrying this a lot since I did the regrind last week, it just cuts like cuttin' is old news.

Man these are cool knives, that regrind looks great!

I kinda gave up learning peoples names here. No offense, but I am terrible with names. My leadership school says it’s my personality type. Yeah, sounds good to me lol. But that doesn’t depreciate my care for folks or my enjoyment of people like y’all.

Just this one again today. Helped me cut out the gas filler in the hot rod tank and weld it into a new place. It didn’t get to do much. It’s sharp but not plate steel cutting sharp lol! Now I’m relaxing watching chasing classics cars waiting on my wife and kids to get home. I miss them when I’m off and they aren’t. Which is often. But it’s the only way I can get anything done lol. So anyway, I I used it to cut some taters and touched her up. Back to hair popping sharp.

Love your red 43, if I were in the market for a fourth that would be next on the list haha! The patina is coming along great BTW!

Old photo but picked up this one tonight when I got home from work.

That frontier looks like it would be at home on the actual frontier! I just finished watching “Godless” on Netflix with my wife and I highly recommend it. Epic western saga. Makes me like this knife even more.

Talk of a forum knife led to two carries today

American classics, love it!

A GREAT knife, Charlie and GEC really did well with the Ancient :)

That's some lovely ebony my friend

Sounds like the perfect evening Shawn, congratulations :)

Like the Ancient TC, I consider his Rope Knife to be one of Charlie's absolute finest. It's been too long since I carried it :)

Pairing it with this old Alfred Blackwell Lambsfoot

Oof. This is the first I’ve seen of that rope knife. Absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing.

Case 6231-1/2 Jack Knife 1973 vintage and a Tidioute 2015 OO 73 Scout :)

What a great pairing, I’m bummed I missed out on those 73 scouts! They’re right up my alley.

I'm a little late to the show but I love, love, love this Shuffler!

Yeah, I need to get me one of those shufflers. What is that stockman? It’s beautiful!

Here’s my carry for today

Oddly enough this is my first ever SAK and I got it earlier this week. I bought it expecting to keep it in my misc. European small knives drawer but it’s been in my coin pocket since it arrived. It’s just such a handy “grooming” tool haha! :):D

You really captured the grain, colors and beauty of the ebony in both those knives, Dylan! Is the 15(?) on the left from 2012?

Thank you, Dean! Yes the 15 is indeed from 2012, it was made available to me by another member here a little while ago. Though it is not the inky black Ebony I typically enjoy, the grain on this example is quite attractive though I do find it a little challenging to capture its true depth. An excellent, well built piece of cutlery.

Not so black, but still lovely :)

Thank you, Jack. I neglected to mention your most excellent Rope Knife, an excellent SFO from Charlie. I had a terrific conversation with him regarding his upcoming Ancient TC SFO at the Oregon Show and, I must say, the details he is working out with GEC are intriguing and I daresay might very well catch your fancy as well.

At one time, I had a single blade of that one in ebony. It was shades of brown not black. I like the blackest black in ebony, but I can rarely get it.

Sitting here eating some Polish Sausage and Cheese Curd after taking the Snow Blower off of one lawn tractor . Still have a snow blade on the other one just in case . Have these in my pockets .

I guess this is a Two TEW's Wednesday this week . Lambfoot & Sheepfoot

I think you, Jack, myself, and a number of other folks here certainly share the same tastes in Ebony. I've been fortunate to receive some good pieces but it can certainly be a challenge. I just realized that I have a #53 in Ebony as well, also from 2012, and the grain and color is very similar to the 15 I have pictured today. In fact, I just pulled it out and they are remarkably similar. Must have been from the same batch.
