I don't know what I'm looking at but I really like it!

Thanks. It could be a popular new blade: the "snub-nosed sheep-spear" :D

I know the feeling. ;)

Ya know, I would buy a "snub nosed sheep spear" any ol' day! :D

I'm enjoying the Moore Maker and your music backgrounds!:thumbsup::cool::cool:
Thanks, gary. seeing @Planterz posts the last couple days, it might be time to start that other thread.

That's what I'm talkin' about! :D

@waynorth Thanks for the beautiful super soupy TC from the Oregon show. Love these covers, dark brown with lighter brown around the outside, just wow. Great job GEC on the fit and finish.

It doesn't get much better than that!

Glad to see it getting some pocket time. It deserves more carry than I gave it.

For me today:

Thanks, I can't get it out of my pocket. That is a really nice 501. It is a 501, right?

The Moore again , with my favorite Willie album, Me and Paul.

Great pic Dean

Forgive the not so great picture, but here’s my birthday carry:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hope you had a very Happy Birthday :)

I completely agree with you about Charlie's Rope Knife, Jack, and I, too, am guilty of not carrying mine often enough.

Beautiful Orchard Gem, Paul. I was scrolling through this thread with my laptop on the coffee table, and Eleanor was standing next to me; when I got to the picture of your dogs, she said, "Maggie? Maggie?" (Maggie is our dog.) :D

I'm carrying these two today.

They're treasures Barrett :) Lovely to see Pearl, and she goes well with your Sodbuster

IMG_2412.JPG I recently picked up one of these after hearing many other BF members thoughts on them. It's a GEC made, Schrade Trapper. I'll have to agree that these are very well made knives. It snaps into open, closed, and half stop positions with authority. The pull is strong but manageable. The carbon steel blades came extremely sharp. The jigging on the mark side is very good, however there is an area on the pile side that's a little flat. Overall it's a great knife. I just thought that I'd share my views, in case anyone is looking for a great EDC. -Lance

What is the fixed blade partly in the picture Jeff ??? Is that one you made my friend ?

Harry

Yes, it is. For fun, and learning experience.
I ground it out of a huge mower blade. No idea of the steel quality, but it seems to be holding it's edge quite well. It only needs a few strokes on the Sharpmaker, and rarely.
I wanted a shorter food chopper. The handle is from elk antlers sold at Walmart for dog chews.:D

God bless you, brother. T-ball, soccer, basketball, and lacrosse - I coached/managed teams, or lobbied local and state legislators, for those sports for 15 years. (I was afraid to have a knife near me, lest I end it all.) Good on you!
- Stuart

Thanks,DD!;)

Must confess, though, I'm not coaching, just a parent who cheers and encourages from the sidelines. At my age, that's all I can handle!

I was an assistant Scoutmaster when my boys were in BSA years ago, and even though it was before all of the electronic devices that obsess kids today, it was still a hurculean task keeping those boys on task trying to get their merit badges.
Ever tried teaching 12 year olds how to handle their hatchets and scout knives without losing vital body parts?

The camp outs and trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area made it worthwhile, though.

Great stag on that Lambsfoot! Wow.

I must have missed those conversations. When did GEC make Schrades?
