What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful scales on that antique!

Who made it?

I’m also wondering about those seed pods and nut husks. What are they from? Something not native around here...
It's a IXL Woestenholm....old. The pods and husks are from trees in a flood zone. Don't know the names but they are all over the place.

Yeah, jokes are serious business. I had friends back in the day who got tired of being told, "Take off, hoser." ;) That's a dynamic dark duo, FBC, and I envy your focus (I'm not capable of taking a pic in which tang stamp and background text are both readable ).:cool::thumbsup: Have to confess I don't recognize the record jacket, though.

Another delightful dark duo! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Pocketing these two today, my ebony Lambsfoot, and my first GEC and first forum knife, gifted to me by Duncan @Campbellclanman, treasured always :)

...Thank you, as always, GT! Fine assortment of knives today, but that Sanremu is particularly intriguing. I am not sure that I have seen it before.

I am carrying dual sawcuts today. I figured it was about time to pair them up.

Yo1yn0q.jpg
Thanks, Dylan; the Sanremu and other knives in the "bailed non-SAK" category, show up about every 18 weeks, so you may well have missed earlier appearances. ;) Your red sawcuts form a notable pair!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I leave in 20 minutes for a couple of days fishing the lower Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay for striped bass ...

Today I’m carrying this old Western barlow that was re-crafted by Glennbad to include these beautiful jigged bone handles. The liners and springs were cleaned but the patina was left alone. The result is this unique and gorgeous old barlow to carry and use with pride.

Nice knives and dog, Jeff.:thumbsup::cool:

Change of plans.

I was on my way back from lunch when I was hit in the face by a huge glint.
I look over to see a table of shiny new wrenches at the local flea market and had to stop ( he had a few hundred Craftsman ratcheting combos of the same size which must've been liquidated )
I instantly spied this Klein electrician when I got up there and it had to follow me home for $5.
After flushing it out, fixing the blunted tip, and sharpening it I just had to drop it in my pocket.
Congrats on the Klein linesman knife, HnS!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Some kind of Klein work knife is on my list of knives to track down.

Thanks @black mamba . This is a laguiole made by Honorè Durand out if Laguiole, France. The covers are snakewood that didn't actually start out as dark as they often appear now. Here are some more pictures to show the covers a little better plus a shot of the spring. Very well-made knife with a pretty strong pull. This one is 12c27 steel. I I would like to add another one at some point but probably something smaller (this is 12cm closed).View attachment 891427

Not much forum time today. I've been on a ladder painting in our kitchen with these Ohta's in my pocket. My wife coerced me with the promise of going out for a nice prime rib dinner. It always works.....

Thanks.
Now the Klein can still be had for $20 new if you shop around , and the Klein website lists them as MADE IN USA which I had assumed but wasn't sure about.

Btw beautiful bone on that case peanut there, something in their amber jigged bone is definitely on my list.

I figured if I can't stop totin' the Moore then I will just have to carry two to keep some variety. WAIT.....is this how it started for you?!!;) I'll be up to five or six in no time!:D
To keep multiple objects in focus, try the auto focus setting , shoot as flat and straight on as possible.
The album is The Dartells- Hot Pastrami
This song cracks me up and makes me hungry at the same time. :p

Carrying these 2 today .

Harry

Wow. Both of those knives are absurdly beautiful.

These two big clip points today. Son's baseball game, more work on the property and cleaned out the chicken coup finally!

That's a whole lot of utility in your hands. GEC has recently produced some amazingly useful pieces of cutlery.
