Strong emotions today- it’s our 37th anniversary today, and 9 months to the day we lost our son. So I thank you for this post.

Think I’ll call my Dad today.
Life is complicated. I admire you for handling such a simultaneous happy/sad day, Jeff.:thumbsup:

...
(I think my new grail must be a two bladed #14 Barlow in some kind of wood covers, to make a full set)

Yeahhh. Me, too. ;)
That would be quite a trio if you can pick up the #14 Barlow you want.:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, GT! Great looking Bucks! While I'm not certain of a series win for the Pelicans, I think a lot of people forgot to look at their team stats after Cousins went down. They can play with anyone right now.
...
Thank you, Gary. Yes, the Case Muskrat has no pattern number. It has "Muskrat" instead on the pile side of the pile side blade. The same is true for the Mini Muskrat and the Tiny Muskrat.

That is a very special two-blade Case Congress you have!:thumbsup:
... Good looking Buck Canoe!
... Classy knives!
Gary, those are a couple of great-looking Buck Canoes!
Thanks for the compliments Gary! That Buck Canoe in Jigged Bone is a good looking knife! :)
...
...
Smashing selection of Bucks GT, and a cool cap too :)
I wish Buck would offer more of their Canoes in different handle material. I know I'm in the minority but I'd probably snag a few.
Thanks for the positive comments about my Buck canoes, Shawn & Dean & Mark & Ron & Jack & @315 ! :) I knew that jigged bone and stag Buck canoes existed, but I consider my self very fortunate to actually have them!
Dean, thanks also for the info and comment about Case muskrats and 2-blade congress. :)

Today’s carry: 66 Calf Roper

:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Compelling knife and inspired pic, Ken!

5K Qs 5K Qs I'm definitely a green knife guy, but there is green and there is green, if you know what I mean.
...
I DO know what you mean, and as I walked to the bus stop yesterday, I thought about green knives and realized I have several myself and like them a lot!

Cutting next winter's wood with a couple pups... Can you spot the knife?
...
At first I thought I saw it right away on the chain saw, then decided I was looking at the handle of the pull-rope. I had to zoom in on the pic to find the knife, but that the knife was your Böker Barlow was not at all a surprise! ;):thumbsup:

Thanks and, yes, I remember that discussion - they are very similar patterns.

The "full" congress is a robust knife and a pocketful. I like your Case half congress and those Bucks are bodacious.

Thanks for your supportive comments, sir! :)

Thanks, my friend!
No safe queens here.
:thumbsup: I carry all of my knives, but my lifestyle sure doesn't present many opportunities to use them compared to what I had as a kid on a dairy farm!

I guess you could call it that. It's a 15 with clip and spey blades.

Today for wooden Wednesday:

Thanks for the ID, @lambertiana :); is that the model GEC called "Farmboy"? Sleek, elegant Böker Barlow!:thumbsup::cool:

As soon as I got to the mail today, I took out my 43 and 35 and tossed in this 77 and 15 that Buzzbait traded to me for a two-blade 77 barlow (I didn't even ask for the 15, he just threw it in there because he's generous).

I love the spring green sawcut and the slimness of the single blade. I also really dig the old barn covers on the navy knife! I'm going to have to see if a porch blade modder will turn it into a lambsfoot for me!
Congrats on the appealing new pair, Joshua!:thumbsup::thumbsup: A navy --> lambsfoot transformation would be cool!:cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs Thank you Sir !
I’m not sure if Gec stopped the hand written identification on the tube caps .
I hope not :( It might be just on the bull nose runs I’m hoping
Thanks for the info. :thumbsup::)

I admire your classic Otter, @HFinn !! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Is that one of the full flat grind 303s mentioned frequently in the 2018 Forum Knife thread? Beautiful Buck, OH!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A nice EE Small Stockman 63090 today. Really pleased with the knife and its quality finish.

Congrats on the new Case, Will! Good to hear that it meets your expectations.:thumbsup::cool:

A pretty basic knife, but it is pretty

Will, I'm usually not a big fan of the polished/oiled natural bone covers, but that knife rocks!! ;):thumbsup: Fantastic picture.:thumbsup:

...
I must say that I am not... After coming to use it for a little while, I have found that it is the only traditional that I want to carry. I am fairly certain that I am happier now than when it landed. The "new to me" feeling has worn, but the buzz over it hasn't, and that is more special than the "new" feeling that we get from most "new" knives...
...
Thanks for your reply, @NJBillK . It's fabulous to hear that you're even more impressed with time!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...
Thanks for the kind words pal, those are two great-looking knives

Late night, bad sleep, and an early rise - I'm feeling as tired as my internet connection is today! o_O

Toting this ebony and ivory pair :)

Thanks, Jack. :) Hope you make it through the day and sleep better tonight. I've been alternating 4-5 hrs of sleep with 7 hrs this week; half the days are nice! Always enjoy the E&I pairings!:thumbsup::cool:

My "Big Knife" this week is a Rough Rider 4.125" trapper:
