Gary, those are a couple of great-looking Buck Canoes!

@5K Qs Thank you Sir !
I’m not sure if Gec stopped the hand written identification on the tube caps .
I hope not :( It might be just on the bull nose runs I’m hoping :thumbsup:

Nice "Porch" embroidery!! :cool::D:thumbsup: Are you still as taken with the sowbelly as the day you got it? :thumbsup::cool:

Sorry for the delay in my response.

I must say that I am not... After coming to use it for a little while, I have found that it is the only traditional that I want to carry. I am fairly certain that I am happier now than when it landed. The "new to me" feeling has worn, but the buzz over it hasn't, and that is more special than the "new" feeling that we get from most "new" knives...

The only complaint that I have is that there seems to be some pitting or disfigurement on the inside of the spring, where the tang rides. There is a little bumpiness, which I had originally thoughtwas grit. The grit and pivot is cleaned and oiled, but the bumpiness remains.
If it bothers me I may contact John about it. Otherwise, I will accept it as one of the knifes quirks and characteristics, which is what I have been doing so far. I bought the knife as a user, and that is fine, but I don't know if it was due to abuse and that is what causes some consternation. Still, I carry and use it every day.

Jack, I cannot let your GREEN Tidioute 66 got by without a compliment. Of all the covers for the 66s, I think those are the best looking! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Beautiful shot of your knife among the berries, Gev! Now imagine spreading some Blackberry Jam with that classic treasure.

Todd, I didn't even know that Benchmade did slipjoints. Excellent pairing of knives! :thumbsup:

That is an excellent shot of your mini trapper. :thumbsup: So what phone did you get?

My Dad bought me two knives during his life: a Case Sodbuster, Jr. in 1971 when I was 17 and this Case stockman in 2003. I can't help but think of him when I carry it (like today). He was the kindest man I have ever known - to everyone. It's been several years since he passed. Thanks again, Dad!

Thanks a lot Dean, GEC called it 'Valley Green' :) It was one of my first GEC's, and is still one of my favourites :thumbsup: Great to see, and hear about, your special Stockman :) :thumbsup:

For my money, your pair is tough to beat, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Jeff, I admire that your knives almost always look used!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Joshua, I like your El Greco knife more each time I see it (and I usually say I'm not a green knife guy :rolleyes: but El Greco and @pipedreams308's green peanut are both real attractive)! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Compelling couple of knives, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I wonder if it will be tough to get that OUT of your pocket now that it's there?? :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

I will NOT look at fixed blades. I will NOT look at fixed blades! ...

Still have some crocuses around, but I haven't seen daffodils or hyacinths or tulips blooming yet. Late spring! :eek: Congrats on your first Peanut, Karl! :thumbsup::cool: Sorry that knife wasn't everything you hoped for.

Ken, it's GREAT to have you and your inspired photos with coordinated knives and backgrounds back!!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::) Have you seen the Blades and Books thread? That might be right up your alley! ;)

Three sensational knives, Stuart!!! :eek::cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Have you shown the 2OTs before? If so, I probably mentioned how the GEC #77 Washington Jacks must be a homage to that pattern.

That congress (with 12 blades?) is ridiculous!! :eek:;);) I agree with your half-congress remark; see my carries below. ;)

Chestnut jigged bone? Very nice, Dean! :cool::cool::thumbsup: I think that will be my next addition to my Case chestnut CV family; is it true that there's no pattern number, just "MUSKRAT" on the tang?

Thrilling threesome, Jer. :cool::thumbsup::cool:

The sun-induced stripes are fantastic!! Congrats, @r8shell ! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Scaaaary! Can't ever really trust the diabolical black-handled knives! :eek::eek::D

Thanks for the encouragement, Jack. :) At this time of year, I welcome that pic of the #66! Springtime, knifeonified. ;)

Great knives mind.

You seem to be getting a deluge down your way Ron:eek: You better start building an Ark, two of every knife pattern too;) I thought your part of the US was meant to be warm&sunny? Here I've only just got the winter tyres off the car this week, very long cold winter this year, sunny now but choking with dust from all the grit they have to put down:thumbsdown: I did seesome Dandelions in flower though, sounds small but after 5 months of snow....

I'm carrying that very nice Stag Queen you kindly gave me, that brightens things too after a tough week on the job.

Thanks, Will
