What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Cutting next winter's wood with a couple pups... Can you spot the knife?

Three sensational knives, Stuart!!!:cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Have you shown the 2OTs before? If so, I probably mentioned how the GEC #77 Washington Jacks must be a homage to that pattern.

Thanks and, yes, I remember that discussion - they are very similar patterns.

That congress (with 12 blades?) is ridiculous!!;);) I agree with your half-congress remark; see my carries below. ;)

The "full" congress is a robust knife and a pocketful. I like your Case half congress and those Bucks are bodacious.

Can you spot the knife?

The sheepfoot barlow above the chainsaw?

The weather was going to be too nice to go to work so I took the day off. Took the 77 out for the first time when I went to the range to do a little shooting.

Priorities. You gottem.

That 77 sure is popular around here! I really like that deep red.

At 2 years, my dog is too curious and too “engaged” to pose with an open knife. Heck - I can hardly get him to pose for a photo. As soon as I pull out the Ifone for a shot, he comes over so I can scratch his neck.

I hear you, I'm in the same boat:D
My Tabby Cat is so curious and nosey about everything I do that you have to be careful with her:eek:
The other day she pulled one of my DE razors from a shelf and started to push it around football style. Like a dog she likes chewing stuff too.....no knives for her!

The larger, closer dog is two. She is much the same way! A Newfoundland/golden retriever. I was actually sitting right where she was just prior and she came by for a scratch.
The dog up top is a border collie/duck toller. An old soul of you ever did see one, he is the best dog I have ever had.

A beautiful sunny morning left the three of us taking a break on the comfy sawdust soaking up the rays.

We just got a new puppy. 10 weeks old and he is playing out behind the wood pile. Good luck getting him to stay while I walk away to take a photo.

Compelling couple of knives, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

OO alert!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Nice Wednesday choice, Ron! ;)

Thanks for the compliments Gary! That Buck Canoe in Jigged Bone is a good looking knife! :)

Boker Barlow with a Sheepfoot Blade and an EO modification! :)

Strong emotions today- it’s our 37th anniversary today, and 9 months to the day we lost our son. So I thank you for this post.

Think I’ll call my Dad today.

Thank you too Amir. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

Chestnut jigged bone? Very nice, Dean!:cool::thumbsup: I think that will be my next addition to my Case chestnut CV family; is it true that there's no pattern number, just "MUSKRAT" on the tang?

Watchpocket knife this week is a Case half congress (thanks, @leghog ):

Thank you, Gary. Yes, the Case Muskrat has no pattern number. It has "Muskrat" instead on the pile side of the pile side blade. The same is true for the Mini Muskrat and the Tiny Muskrat.

That is a very special two-blade Case Congress you have!:thumbsup:

Yes, that scrimshawed RR was a gift from r8shell!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Touching tribute to your dad, Dean, and a fantastic knife besides!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Gary. Good looking Buck Canoe!

I always get choked up when I read posts like this. My Dad and Mom are both gone. They were good people and good parents and I miss them everyday. I can't imagine losing a son, Jeff.
Have a peaceful day fellas.

Keeping me company today.

Thank you, Gary. Classy knives!

Some knives make one pause and say, "Wow!" Your Lionsteel is one, those covers knock it out of the park!:thumbsup:

My Dad bought me two knives during his life: a Case Sodbuster, Jr. in 1971 when I was 17 and this Case stockman in 2003. I can't help but think of him when I carry it (like today). He was the kindest man I have ever known - to everyone. It's been several years since he passed. Thanks again, Dad!

Thank you for your kind words about the Roundhead...I do like how the covers change the whole look and feel of it.

That’s a great looking Case! Nothing beats a pocketknife from one’s Dad. Your father sounds like he was a very good man...too few of those around now.

As soon as I got to the mail today, I took out my 43 and 35 and tossed in this 77 and 15 that Buzzbait traded to me for a two-blade 77 barlow (I didn't even ask for the 15, he just threw it in there because he's generous).

I love the spring green sawcut and the slimness of the single blade. I also really dig the old barn covers on the navy knife! I'm going to have to see if a porch blade modder will turn it into a lambsfoot for me!
