I first cleaned the blades with an ammonia based cleaner, then dipped into the juice for about 5 seconds at a time. When in the liquid, it literally bubbles around the blade. When I pulled it out, I let it air dry for about 5 seconds, checking the color, then back into the liquid. After just 4 or 5 dips it was pretty dark. Then under hot water from the faucet for about 20 seconds to stop the reaction, then dry and oil. I did my modified bull moose at the same time, using the same method. Lastly, I touched up the edges.

You see what that Moore Maker has done to me?! If a knife doesn't have a punch, I'll just grind one into one. :D;)
I do find this to be the perfect blade combo. Now, if could just get a Split Back Whittler Sowbelly Punch. :p:D

That is awesome, to me that's what it is all about, when you get one and it just fits, those knives that just tick all the boxes and become an everyday accomplice, my 81 Abilene moose kind of fit that same bill for me recently.
