Thank you Sir ! The shame was letting the vertigris get hold. ( it was so minor, but these old one are in our care and I felt bad as the respect was a little lacking. I don't check them often enough :oops: )

Yes, I was playing around, too, though it does look as mellowed as some of my older knives. I like that. If stains/verdigris on our old knives were signs of disrespect, I should be drummed out of the knife corps. It's hard if you have "a few" and particularly if you have some that you don't even know that you have. Keep on keeping on, Gev.
