What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Jack Black Jack Black , @Astronaut FX , and Half/Stop Half/Stop - what a great way to start the day. Very nice knives. Sorry about your weather, Ron. In sympathy, we're going to have thunderstorms here, today, so that you won't feel picked on.

Today, I'm feeling swell, so I'm totin' an Aerial swell center pen and a Clauss swell end jack.

Thanks Stuart! I finally got my tree removal job quoted yesterday. They are scheduling by the severity and since mine is not on any structure or vehicle it didn’t get in the schedule until yesterday!

Talk about starting the day off right!! My friend those are two fabulous examples of the cutlers art in Ebony!!!:cool::D

Those are both sweet! Is that the original blade shape on the swell center’s wharncliffe, or has it just been sharpened down?

 Those are swell! I wouldn't get any work done with those in my pocket, for all the CEing and CFing. ;)

Thanks, r8shell. I loved the CE/CF little picture. That's a mighty loved Case that you show. It has stories to tell. BTW, B. Levine shows a curved pen blade in his section on folding knife blades, as shown in old Remington illustrations. It looks a lot like your scimitar.

Thanks, Ron. You don't need a contractor to remove your tree, as it looks like Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund has brought his out for the job.

I tried to put both of these into the same picture, but it just wasn’t working

Fine knife and great picture, as always, Travman.

That's the original, untouched surgical blade, Raybert. It is sharp and nasty looking.

Jack, I had forgotten what a beautiful knife your Abbey Jack is! Oh my, to have abundant Sambar like that available once again! :)

A Primble Barlow and my OO 73 Scout will be my choices for today while we prepare for the fifth straight day of storms!

Thanks Ron, it's a simple, but well-made knife. What a difference it would make to the Sheffield cutlers if they could source stag of this quality again :) Sorry to hear about the weather there my friend :( Here, they have been out with the gritters - because the temperatures are so hot the road surfaces are melting!

Ha! I just dropped and limbed out three spruce and two pines about the size of the one half stop lost. Ugh.

The best part is not having to pick it all up and put it in the truck to carry to the burn pile. We use a skid steer with a hydraulic grabber - that thing picks up logs and big bunches of limbs.

Sorry about your tree, half stop!

It sounds like Jeff might have plenty to keep him busy in Wisconsin without driving all the way to SE Tennessee!

This super-thin thing.

I suspect it was produced in 1981 for the centenary of the Boer victory in the first Boer war. Solingen, nice stainless. Judging from a Boer war website, it appears this was a reuse of handles made back in the day.
Nice knife! It's not often that I see a knife with dutch text on it.
