Magnificent, articulate testimonial, Buzz!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: At one point, I think you'd given up on carbon steel blades for summer carry, but these two have apparently changed your mind? I selfishly miss seeing your scouts , but it's fantastic that you've found a pair of knives with which you're so pleased!:):thumbsup:

Another clever knife/background connection, Ken!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for showing that tremendous trio of Case trappers, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Steve and Gev and Rachel, those are some incredible vintage Imperials!!

Thanks for the additional description of that glorious Case, Ron!:cool::cool: As for "the antiques jokes", at my age, it's NO joke!!:p

And the knife is about 20-40 years older than me!

All-American knife line-up, as promised!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Where did you get your gloves? I think I have some just like that that I picked up at a military surplus store in Lafayette IN in 1973 (but I've lost or worn out the wool inserts).

Thanks for the Tear Drop Jack vote; I think I favor that, but I've also heard at least these: dogleg jack, candle tip jack, bullet jack.

Thanks, Jack. :) That pair of "instant classics" should serve you well in extended carry!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Oldies/Goodies, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I always look forward to the knife lessons I learn from your posts, Stuart!:thumbsup::cool:

My Bailed non-SAK of the Week is a Marbles Workman Camp Knife (thanks, Mike) that doesn't even have a bail, but it should :

The gloves we're given to me by my dad, issued to him around '78 in basic at ft Bliss TX.
He never had to use them all that much I guess because they were in great shape when I got them.
A great real durable pair of cattle hide work gloves.

And those afe Some real great knives you're carrying, I especially like the little imperial diamond edge.

A Throwback Thursday for me, as I'm totin' some oldies for the day (still hot and not much cuttin' in the plans). A Queen City equal end pen (1922-1945) and a New York Knife Co. (Walden, 1856-1931) in a fish pattern. Bernard Levine opines that the fish knife is the precursor to the fishtail pattern.

Those look great Harry! :) I bet they would look good with some Patina!!!:D
Thank you my friend . I appreciate your concern about my Lack of Patina on them but , I prefer them looking a little shined up . I do use them when I carry them , in fact I even cut some cucumbers off the vine today and opened a couple of boxes of Roku Devices . The first of many cucumbers to come .

@LastRodeo Thank you sir. It’s a 3 5/8 teardrop I got from Brent Cramer quite a few years back. Here it is opened...
The teardrop is one of my favorite patterns and the dimensions of yours is outstanding. If only the blade wasn't so broad. I prefer a slimmer one, but I'll make an exception for that Cramer.

Sure love to see your baking prowess and that sleeveboard is a treat too !!
Thanks Gev! The knife is actually a Churchill micarta. It’s just the angle of the picture distorting the shape. I just used an iPhone. Sometime I’ll have to post a shot using a view camera for correct geometry!
