Both those old bones are incredible!! So smooth, and the color are just lovely!![]()
The teardrop is one of my favorite patterns and the dimensions of yours is outstanding. If only the blade wasn't so broad. I prefer a slimmer one, but I'll make an exception for that Cramer.
Man that's a looker! Perfect ebony, perfect size, gorgeous blade!
The look my wife gives me when I “show and tell” which knife I’m carrying for the day. (From a 1928 Catalogue)

What's that green stuff on the left?View attachment 939301
Celebrated my niece’s and daughter’s July birthdays today with some delicious food.
Thanks! It is steamed broccoli. What's that green stuff on the left?
Nice knife! And Happy Birthday to your daughter & niece!
@mitch4ging Thanks man! I actually see some similarity with the bone on my knife and Stuart’s D Duckdog . Either mine has deeper jigging or his is more pocket worn.
Ah! Heard that's good for you. Thanks! It is steamed broccoli.
That’s what they say, but I like the taste, too. But I’m odd, maybe, as I also enjoy Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and other unpopular vegetables.Ah! Heard that's good for you.
D Duckdog Stuart yours is definitely more pocket worn since it could be almost a century older!! I love these 2 knives you posted above, just beautiful. The bone is excellent!! So good.Nick, I think that your very fine Schrade is from 1904-1941. The NYK Co fish knife that I posted is from 1856-1931, so I'll go with "more pocket worn", i.e., yours is in better shape. Here's a 3 blade Imperial senator from 1935-1945 and a Union Cutlery Co. office knife (with erasure blade) from 1911-1951 that may give a better comparison, particularly as to bolsters.

Thanks, GT. As you know, I'm learning about the knives that I find as I dig through the boxes and cases that my stepfather left to me - find a knife, research it, take a picture, and post it. It's a constant chore, but i love it (so far). Those RR's are nice, particularly the canoe, but the Marble's is one that I could work with.
