What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I opened one of the drawers in my EDC chest this morning. These two jumped out as two that I haven’t carried in a long time! That’s taken care of now! :)

Nick, I think that your very fine Schrade is from 1904-1941. The NYK Co fish knife that I posted is from 1856-1931, so I'll go with "more pocket worn", i.e., yours is in better shape. Here's a 3 blade Imperial senator from 1935-1945 and a Union Cutlery Co. office knife (with erasure blade) from 1911-1951 that may give a better comparison, particularly as to bolsters.

D Duckdog Stuart yours is definitely more pocket worn since it could be almost a century older!! I love these 2 knives you posted above, just beautiful. The bone is excellent!! So good.

Thanks, Nick. Glad to have another old knife fan.

Stuart,
Sorry for the loss of your stepfather. It is really nice that he left you the knives. I am new to knife collecting and being able to do what you are doing now would be a very fun and educational thing to do. I bet you will love every minute of it. I don't know how long he was your stepfather, but I bet you are learning a lot about him from seeing his collection. Keep up the "fun" work!
Larry

Thanks, Larry. You are correct: he married my mom when I was around 10 and passed in 2012, so he was there for me most of my life. However, he didn't start collecting knives until I was out of the house, away for schooling and career. That he was able to collect the knives that he did without benefit of the Internet just astounds me. He went to a lot of gun/knife shows and flea markets, and met a lot of "characters".

She’s got me over a barrel...

Love that ol' Ka-Bar, Jeff.

These two jumped out as two that I haven’t carried in a long time!

I'll babysit them for you, Ron. Just pack 'em up and . . .

Just incredible pair, Stuart! Thank you for posting those.

Thanks. BTW, your G. Wostenholm was a premonition of my choice for today. Eerie?

What handle material are these, I like them very much.
Thank you very much for the kind words my friend .
They both are jigged bone . The #78 pattern , the one with the UNXLD shield , probably is still available out there at some dealers . The other one is not available anywhere for a reasonable price .
IMHO they are both very nice knives for either an EDC or Safe Queen . I like them a lot .
