What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I'm totin' a close, but more casual, cousin to the more refined Primble English jack that I posted recently: a John Primble India Steel Works curved jack (1890-1940). At 3 3/4", it might be dubbed a New England Whaler, but seems too nautical for this old boy.

Absolutely beautiful Stuart

I'm in a waiting room to get tires put on my vehicle... All of a sudden felt very silly staging a pic of my knife selection for the day.
My dad was a knife nut and carried several at once (I always thought peculiar).

You bet Ron and thank you !

:thumbsup:That’s a treat to see!

Thanks Jeff !

Steve, as you may have deduced, I have a fondness for older folders, so I truly enjoy your magical history tours. Thanks for posts like this one.

Thanks Stuart and thank you !

As you can tell I really like the old ones myself. As nice as some of the new ones are there is just something about old worn and patinated knives that speak to me.

If I recall correctly there is a lot of things one should not do while drinking! ;) To be honest, I have saw worse sharpening jobs, both in person and posted here. It's a beautiful knife and remember that you do still have the backup put away! :D

I’ve done worse. That Queen will be an awesome user!

Thanks Rachel! :D That is a great-looking Stockman though :) I like D2 a lot, but it is a beast to sharpen from blunt!
Thanks, guys! I think it'll be a great user, and I sure won't be worried about scratching it up!
Pictured here with the spare (which I think has even prettier wood)
