ain't that the truth! this is a beauty
very very nice warm looking scale(s)
great find!

Toolin' around the house with my SBJ, and doing some whittling.

My first Ball In Cage. First real whittling project actually. It's not finished, gotta shape/downsize the ball a bit as it gets hung up on certain parts. Also gotta clean up the cage obviously.

Lovely shots of that case SBJ, nice to see a different angle, very tempting.....

Cheers Rsmith_77, not bored yet:)

it seems that with my new job, i needed a work knife (instead of a letter/box opener, fruit cutter)
so far the one that's working best for me, and therefore been carried the most the last few days is my case sodbuster jr in CV
i need take a few new pics since its undergone some changes since this pic

I had to go into work today and dropped my Conductor in my pocket. When I was leaving, someone asked me if I had a knife because "you're a Scout leader and must have a knife, right?" He wanted to cut carry slots in a cardboard box which was full of bottles of water. When I handed it to him I remarked that it was quite sharp, and when he was cutting his eyebrows went up and said "that's for sure!" Of course, he went through the cardboard easily, and clipped one of the water bottles too.

He handed it back rather gingerly :D

Today I've been totin this beauty, I know, it's not fancy but fun to tote.
Geo. Schrade 9-21-26 curved stamp and solid as the day is long.

This thread is inspiring. I'm surprised that it worked with the first attempt, although a larger cage would have been a bit easier I guess :)
I love the small coping blade on the Geppetto.

OK no pictures sorry, but I have been carring my RR Half Whittler in Amber Bone to see if it is up to EDC duty and abuse. I am quite impressed with how it is holding up.
Probably the best $6.99 (+ tax and shipping) I have spent in 2012.
I also shot the lock off the wallet and bought a Case Sodbuster JR at a local hardware store last Friday, my first sodbuster, what a stury usefull working knife.

OK all you "ball in the Cage" carvers, did you use a pattern or just freehand it? What are the first steps? I want to carve some of these too!! Tips please, how do I do this??

I admire that 57 Whittler too. I'd really like to see that as a single spring 2 blade knife, Wharncliffe master and modified pen minor. Dreams....

Today GEC Conductor in faux Tortoise, a real favourite!

Yeah, the #66 Serpentine Jack is an absolutelly great pattern. I really like it a lot. The size is really great for pocketcarrying. The LM Wave didn´t fit in the pocket, it was on the leathersheath on my belt.

Kind regards
Andi

Laguiole Rossignol...Scary sharp this one...and seems to hold it's edge exceptionally well...

Still carrying the #33 Conductor but I put my #48 Jack and #71 BNWK away for a bit in favor of a #73.

Same two knives for several weeks. Ken Coats Sheepsfoot Jack and Hen & Rooster CM-6. The second photo shows a better size comparison.
